Thanks for the quick presentation. Nissan needs to properly market these very capable trucks. Toughness, reliability, comfort are a 3 way tie for us that use our trucks for service work. Fuel milage matters too but even if theres a 4mpg difference; over the year you'd spend 300-400 per year more at $4/ gallon. That isn't worth the price jump of a 2.7L F150 IMHO. Because when towing, hauling, or otherwise loading the engine; the v8 will be under stressed and match or beat the v6. Also high compression v8 engines have much better grade breaking that turbo v6s or turbo i4. That's a serious matter here in NY where there's very few flat areas.

Especially now that I’m seeing all the nightmares with the Tundra engine and the uncertainly around the Hurricane Inline 6. Those were the other 2 trucks i was considering. Glad i went with the reliability and peace of mind that comes with the V8. I can live with my interior & tech not being as nice

I just picked up a new 2023 XD Pro4X and with the end of year sales and deals, it was an excellent price that the big 3 couldn't compete with. I think the infotainment screen is fine. If you go to the Ram size screen, you lose all the dials and buttons. I have a couple of Teslas and everything is controlled from the infotainment interface and sometimes that can be a pain not to mention a distraction.

@johngarner9929 Жыл бұрын
@@dantimber My 2021 Ford F150 5.0 has cylinder deactivation (Ford tested for several years before engineering it with the 5.0). The engine's factory program prohibits cyclinder deactivation when the transmisision is in tow/haul mode. I have no issue towing, just have to go easy on the throttle or it will take off too aggressively - no long term negative engine effects have been assessed from cylinder deactivation by the Ford Engineers or Mechanics. I must add - the Titan is a solid truck with the best factory warranty on the market and certianly worth looking into...you can't go wrong with either truck. Ford does recommend more restraint when towing such as limiting speed to 65 miles per hour which is consistent with most trailer tire speed ratings and using trailers with brakes when the load exceeds 1600 pounds.

If you’ve had a Nissan Frontier then you are already aware that Nissan trucks (especially the Titan) are EXTREMELY RELIABLE TRUCKS!! As a nearly 40 year old fully disabled combat veteran who has to survive on my VERY FIXED AND LOW INCOME so I’ll never be able to get another one, but I bought a 2007 Nissan Titan back in 2008 (December of ‘08) and I actually traded in my BRAND NEW F-150 that I had just purchased 7 months prior with 10 miles on it and got my ‘07 Titan with 22,000 miles on it. To this day over 15 years later it was THE BEST VEHICLE I’VE EVER OWNED!! I had to sell it in 2012 due to the fact I was being unexpectedly medically discharged and didn’t have a job lined up in the civilian sector so I had to cut out the payment and the insurance costs. Anyways, YOU WILL NEVER REGRET BUYING A TITAN!! My goal in life is to get another one ASAP, I don’t care what year or how many miles as long as it’s either an SE or above I’d be ECSTATIC. Anyways I wish you the best of luck and remember ….as much as guys don’t want to admit it, the Nissan Titan is WAY MORE AMERICAN THAN CHEVY/GM, Dodge or even Ford. Everything is built RIGHT HERE IN AMERICA!!!!!

The low GVW and the towing is actually higher than you think. And you can only toe so much and carry so much weight and a 1500. If you're goingna carry a lot of weight. You need a 25 or a 35 or a dump truck. So I don't understand why people think that you have to put that much weight.

You mentioned the Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra 6.2 and EVERYONE needs to be aware that GM uses that infernal DFM Dynamic Fuel Management or Active Fuel Management that shuts down cylinders. Technically, the Ford 5.0 liter competes with the 5.6 L V8 from Nissan. Hear me out. The numbers you quoted, we're pretty close accurate. It's 400 horsepower on premium fuel and 390 horsepower on 87 octane. Its 413 lb-ft of torque, not the 418 you quoted. The same year F-150 with a 5.0 makes 400 HP on regular fuel and 410 lb-ft. So if you're comparing apples to apples, on regular fuel, the Ford F-150 5 L V8 actually makes 10 more horsepower and 3 less pound feet of torque. Those numbers are so incredibly close to each other, I don't know why you discounted the Ford 5 liter in the first several minutes of your video. However, the Ford absolutely dominates the Nissan 5.6 L in terms of horsepower and torque per liter. It's a much smaller package making those numbers. I drive a 2019 nissan titan and love the thing, But don't discount that 7,000 RPM redline Ford 5 L. Go test drive one of those things. Coupled with the weight savings from aluminum, that thing's an absolute beast.
