You will need a 10mm socket and extension to remove the screws. If it is stuck to remove just tap gently both screws until it brakes lose.

So I am doing the same job but I am having difficulty in getting the unit properly sealed. I used a rubber caulking which is not working. I will try and find a similar tube style like you used and see if that helps.

Wait so I can’t jut replace the light bulb I have to buy the whole part

The unit is sealed and inside are 6 LED's. There are no BULB's to replace. Sorry, YES you have to replace the whole unit. One day I'm going to see if I can get the unit apart to replace the LED's, but in doing so I will probably need to melt or break the unit to get it apart. Possibly i can open it with a Dremel type tool.

Posting this comment for posterity. lol Before I realized the unit is sealed, I went to a local auto parts store and they sold me *whatever* bulbs came up in their computer system as the 3rd brake light bulbs for a '10 Versa. But replacement bulbs will not work. The led lights are sealed within the body of the 3rd brake light. You must replace the entire piece.

No, it contains 6 LEDs and is a sealed unit.

It does not use BULBS it uses LEDs and it's also a sealed unit.

@tonycervantes4816 When I took my Nissan Versa in for it's inspection, it failed on the 3rd break light not working. The inspection officer told me, "If it's installed, it has to work." If YOU replace it with some other light, it may not pass inspection it might also be a safety issue. Sorry, I can't say if what you suggest is a viable option. What YOU do to your vehicle is YOUR responsibility, I am not qualified to answer your question about some alternative light on your vehicle. Maybe you should ask a vehicle inspection station what is and is not acceptable. In my video, I bought a second-hand unit from ebay and showed how I installed it. I did not replace it with some alternative lamp. I also showed how I waterproofed it. Sorry, but your question is beyond the scope of this video.

It was a second hand light I found on Ebay. I just did a search on there. There was just one available from the seller if I remember correctly.
