Hello, great video, one question, on the sway bar links I ordered replacements and only came with 1 nut on each bolt, am I supposed to leave that one on and use the old nut to tighten so in the future when I have to replace it again it won't strip and just turn round and round? I mean it makes sense but just want to confirm. Thank you!

Nothing wrong with using the original nuts. They're probably better.

What size wrench did you use to hold the opposite side while ratcheting the rear links off?

14mm

I just put in new cv axles, upper and lower arms, sway bar links and tie rods in the front end of my 06 xterra. I had it aligned already. Thinking I should do the rear end links now too.. will I need to get another alignment after doing the rear end?

If the rear end isn't making noise, I'd leave it alone.

Thanks for the reply. What are some good brands for ball joints and suspension/steering components?

@hardlymovingpro3 жыл бұрын

Hi I’m trying to replace my shocks and can’t get the bolts to budge. I’ve done pb blaster and tried a breaker bar with no luck. Have any suggestions? My porter cable impact didn’t budge them either. I just soaked them in atf to see if that’ll loosen them more 🤞

Try using heat ... like from a propane or acetylene torch.

Hey Hardly Moving Productions. In your experience, what are some good aftermarket parts brands? I.E. AC Delco, Delphi, Moog, etc
@hardlymovingpro3 жыл бұрын
For high end shocks and struts, go with KYB & Sachs followed by Moog; they're not cheap but have great warranties (lifetime). Then comes all the rest (Monroe, Gabriel, etc. which aren't that bad IMHO).

Hey very instructive video man. Quick question; I wanna get me those same shocks, do you think they would be good for a 2” PML (2 inch lift)?
@hardlymovingpro3 жыл бұрын
I would assume you'd have to get longer shocks.

Did you put the washers on wrong? They look outwards
@hardlymovingpro2 жыл бұрын
Don't think so.

Twisting stabilizer doesn’t necessarily mean they’re bad
