Nissan Xterra Overland Rig Walkaround 2.0

This is our nissan xterra overland rig we use to get out and explore but mainly fly fishing. In this video I go over some big changes to our rig after 1 year. biggest change is the 4x4 colorado roof top tent and a axle swap. I go over stuff we do like and dislike.

Sweet setup Nick! Adding the rear locker will give you much more piece of mind. A winch addition for build 3.0 will be nice, especially for those solo adventures. I'm just glad to see you out there having a good time and doing what you love to do. Say hello to Nancy for me, and hopefully we can get on another adventure! Good walk around and you’re right about Nisstech Also shock works All Dog off Road is great and rock slider I went with HARD core off road with mine and do like them

I was heart broken when Shrockworks shut down. I’ve had great experiences with ADO also. RCI makes great stuff and seems to be squared away. I think they have sliders for the Xterra. If RCI doesn’t, I think Coastal Off-road does, but I don’t have any experience with Coastal

Nice truck! Shame about the rear bumper. I've seen accusations about P&P scamming people by taking money and not delivering product, and even worse with Nisstec being gone when they likely could have mediated or taken care of it. I bought Nisstec MKII shocks right before they went under, and part of my decision was being able to have them rebuilt, but now I'm out of luck on that.

Those were the ones from nisstec I wanted but now I am glad they blew me off. Well hopefully you can get your money out of them before replacing whole part. It seems like a lot of nissan companies scam people it is very disappointing.

I just got back from a 3 night trip connecting 2 main rivers that I don't think many people know about. 110 miles off pavement with crazy good fishing. I am going to set up an event through crossoverlanding later in September if anyone wants to go

Sadly I heard that Nisstech was run by a bunch of flaks, so many complaints about them and their customer service. Could have been a good company !

I agree, It seems like so many xterra companies turn into flakes, calmini nisstec and I think 1 more. Very few are trustworthy like all dogs offroad

Nice setup! If got an 06 s model was the rear axle professionally replaced ? I’ve seen your first walk around, how wide are your 33” I am looking at getting the Falken 285/75/17 on a 0 offset rim was shocked you are on -12 and not sticking out to much

It was professionally replaced just because I was moving and needed it done asap. I do think I could have done it my self. I think -12 offset is perfect stance. Thanks for watching the videos.
