Bought one of these bad boys for 16,000 with 23,000 miles on it. A deal I couldn’t pass. I had a 1998 frontier but it was dying down so I had to buy one and this came up. I love it

It is so beautiful! I think the base models are better looking than the $45,0000 dollar monstrosity.

Aww.. when trucks were trucks! You gotta be INSANE to pay over 25.000 dollars for a WORKING vehicle. Props to Nissan!
@ravenjames38736 жыл бұрын
exionem: if it's a midsize truck then i wouldn't pay 25k unless it's the v6, but that would be the highest. now if it's a full size 1/2 tone truck like the silverado F150 or Ram 1500, then i wouldn't have a problem paying 25k cause i think that's the starting price for a base LS silverado regular cab 2WD work truck. so i don't think it's insane for a full size, but for a midsize truck 18k would be the lowest id go and 25k the highest id go. but i get what your saying about paying 30k for a midsize truck. 30-35k would be the highest id go for a full size truck. 40-50k is too much for any truck. now if your in the market for a super duty truck like the chevy Silverado 2500HD and Ford F250, unfortunately the starting price for a base LS is about 30k, and it can go all the up to the LTZ trim for about 60k and i think Ford and Ram charges even more.

I purchased a new 1993 Nissan Hardbody pickup base model, meaning no AC, no PS, no PW, no radio, and no real bumper. It was a 5 speed manual. The only problem I had with was the Alternator went out 1 month BEFORE the extended warranty they talked me into. The body metal is very thin, if you sneeze on it crumples, but it's still derivable.

chesucat I have a 1993 Nissan pickup hard body it's 26 years old now I also have a 1997 Nissan hard body . Both trucks run strong today hitting 390,000 miles I am thinking of buy one of these just having a hard r Time letting go of my 1993 .

The last true compact truck on the market. Everybody else is going to expensive 30 $40,000 bottles with leather and luxury Nissan keeps to the basic. My local Nissan dealer actually had the bass one with a manual transmission on sale for 16 grand.

Nissan is keeping it basically the same for 2019 model year! I'm guessing it's going to be the last model year for this design. I'm planning to pick one up with manual transmission, but manuals are so rare, I'm going to end up having to order one.
@thespiritof76.4 жыл бұрын

Just got 2016 crew cab V6 dealer loaner for 22K. Had 769 miles on it and new car smell. Didn't care for all the "smart" electronics. Just wish it had power windows though.

Being this model is "automatic" is a bit more in price and not to scare you lol. I have a 2007 crew cab "LE" model with premium wheels and had BF Goodrich "Longtrail" tires that I got 10 years out of them and recently replaced them. My truck just turn over to 70,000 original miles. Very reliable with just minor repairs of a few sensors and fuel pump as noted on the "service engine" light indications. I love my front and rear chrome bumpers.

Main reason why Nissan said is most affordable its because its from 2005. That's like them still selling a brand new 2005 Maxima in 2018 with the original msrp.

What about transmisión problems..?
@TIJoe-te9qu Жыл бұрын
Not a common problem. A few years of Frontier automatics had radiator issues with the trans coolers going bad. Best to change the radiator on those years to avoid fluid contamination.

NissanWalkthrough On Nissanusa.com it is 23,235. When you add floor mats and other stupid dealer fees, your paying 25,000 before taxes.
@ravenjames38736 жыл бұрын
no it doesn't, it's only 18k with tax. the most you'll pay for this is 20 grand, and if you put a 1000 dollars down you could get this truck for 16k. that's pretty good for a brand new vehicle.
@Starman9986 жыл бұрын
Most dealers are giving 3-4K off msrp.
@jacobgomez26966 жыл бұрын
Mine isn't brand new mine is a 2014 but it's a base model and it was with only 12 grand miles on it and I got it for 10 grand so if you are getting it for 25 then youbsuck at negotiating

Nothing wrong with the transmissions. The earlier models had radiator problems that caused transmission failures.
@kmeekins41685 жыл бұрын
*Nissan CVTs are trash. These transmissions are fine, just keep the fluid clean.
@chesucat5 жыл бұрын
Sometimes, having a manual transmission can reduce the possibility of your pickup getting stolen. Apparently, young people don't how to drive a stick shift.
@TIJoe-te9qu Жыл бұрын
Only the CVTs in cars had problems.
@christopherhernandez787 жыл бұрын
I think its more obsolete than a work truck or even to be a so called America's affordable truck.
@NissanWalkthrough7 жыл бұрын
Christopher Hernandez "if it's not broke don't fix it" really describes this truck perfectly, even with it's age in the market, it is still one of the best selling midsize trucks out there. It's a proven workhorse truck and has shown it's incredible reliability throughout it's years in production and that maintains it's popularity in this segment. "Tried and true"
@ohmygoditsyomamma7 жыл бұрын
Christopher Hernandez it's kinda like the Chevy Express if it ain't broke don't fix it

You don´t need fancy mirrors, heated seats and a bunch of bullshit that truck manufactures are doing to inflate a WORKING vehicle like a truck. Props to Nissan.
@ravenjames38736 жыл бұрын
you've been obsolete since the day you were born. it is a work truck, but it's for basic work. if you live in the city it's more than enough, but if you live out in the country a truck like this wouldn't work out. you would need a full size.
