It is written in holy Jewish books that whatever a composer feels while “making/writing/singing” his song his feelings embody and become one with the song thus invoking the same feelings to anyone who listens to the song.. this song is truly deep and powerful, thank you, and may you be blessed.

Recite the Tikkun HaKlali and as much Psalms you can, every day. After doing the Psalms, say: in the merit of the Tehilim, please HaShem, heal me! Help me to win every battle the evil inclination fights me. I don’t want yo be sad. I want to serve You in joy. HaShem literally means “ the Name- we don’t want to say the Name in vain). You find a reliable translation of the Jewish Scriptures in: Chabbad Tanach May you recover fast and have help from above to all good things. If you continue sad with this , seek help in s synagogue.

This song really touched my soul. I have depression and anxiety. I feel like this alot. Prayer really does work. I was having hellish anxiety for two days . Like each day, 8 hours of anxiety. At the night of the second day , i said Gd, i cant take this anymore. This suffering is beyond me. I said please. Either take this suffering from me, or me from the suffering. That was the point i got to. And the next day i didnt want to wake up. But i noticed i wasnt struggling to catch my breath every 3 seconds. I realized that Gd made a miracle for me. I didnt have anxiety for the rest of the entire week, including shabbas, the next week it came back but it was very minor compared to what i had before. I believe it must be a miracle, bli ien hora (no offense to anyone. I Always say that) thank you Nissim. I know you will be blessed in all inyonim. It doesn't matter at all the color of your skin. Your a Holy Jew, and saving klal yisrael. Your the shaliach.

I think this song so accurately reflects humanity in all of our miseries as we seek Him. Some time we understand His plan, other times not so much. This song shows we lack, not Him lacking. David felt surrounded as we all might can relate to. We seek His mercy, a break in the pounding waters that are trying to drown us daily. I thank God for the little mercies He gives when we come up and GASP for air right before bracing for the next blow. :) "God please help me...Cause I just wanna grow grow grow ya. "

I like this song a lot, but for me, the video is the shock to the heart. Sternberg was my first home. I walked every inch of those woods, and more than once I started my day watching those misty ghost-warriors rising off the lake before the dawn. I spent eight, perfect summers there, and I miss it more than I realized. It's a part of me.

As a black man at first i was distracted by the visual... then i listen to the lyrics and it super relate-able.... I would love to know how my Jewish brothers out there feel about Nissim. I perceive nothing but respect for the culture and religion coming from him I don't think his intention is appropriation , but I realize I'm on the outside looking in. anyway good stuff.
@jasonssavitt52974 жыл бұрын
We love Nissim, mostly because of the deep sincerity of his beliefs. We do not perceive what he does as appropriation, for a very important reason. When someone converts to Judaism they aren't just joining a faith they are joining a people, a tribe, a whole different culture. We would actually be offered if he didn't appropriate our culture. He is one of us, the only difference is his skin color. But to quote another song of his "black is beautiful".
@rondumason47564 жыл бұрын
@@jasonssavitt5297 I thank you sir for your insight. The clarity with which you described your sentiment provided confirmation to what his music made me feel and of what I saw on KZbin. After hearing this song I was moved to go down a Nissim rabbit hole first with his music all of which warmed my soul with its mssgs. Of peace, love, unity, humility and submission to purpose of devine will. I then watched lectures and interviews and heard his story. I knew he was legit, he heard the call then sought and accepted grace and in turn was accepted. Thankfully learning about Nissim, I was to able to dispel some stereotypes I didn't know I had about the Jewish community and add to my understanding of this world and how I feel it should be. If more people's idea of acceptance operated on the logic and reason based on evidence and context, as your explaination did, then this world would see its already a community even withi our differences and its only division that hinders us. (SORRY FOR THE PONTIFICATION)
