NIT TRICHY |🔥STUDENT LIFE🔥 | A day in the life of NIT TRICHY

My typical day at NITT during early 2000s (pre internet/mobile times) : Lapis hostel (single room then, lucky we), chemical engg 1. Wake up at 8am, rush to get the morning chores done 2. Reach class by 8.30 am huffing and puffing 3. 2 periods of boring lectures till 10.10am - take notes or do your own stuff and sleep 4. Have tea and veg puff as breakfast at snacky 5. Another 2 hrs of boring lectures - take notes or do your own stuff or sleep. 6. Get back to room by 12.20pm, head off to mess for lunch - below avg stuff. 7. Return back to room and take some rest. 8. If the afternoon is free, sleep. If it is a lab, change to lab attire and head towards it, if it is again lectures bunk. 9. After the lab/lectures at 4pm , head to the mess for some sweet water ( read tea) and have a snack if lucky. 10. Come back to room, shower/ do laundry (no wash machines those days), read newspaper, chit chat with friends or go for a swim/jogging/gym. 11. Head to mess at 7pm for dinner if it is a special menu day ( chicken egg, sweet) or hit the roadside shops for parotta, dosa and a smoke. Get tiger biscuits back home for late night snack. 12. Make a leisure trip back to hostel and do one of the below: a) play chess b) play TT c) watch TV d) chit chat with friends e) read a story book/magazine f) discuss on student politics , current affairs 13. If sweaty take another shower at 11pm, have those biscuits and relax 14. Head to TV room to hear some songs in suntv/ktv/jayatv (remember no net, no mobile) 15. Sleep by 1 or 2 am. On the weekends, go to Chatram/ Central Bus Stand, to catch a movie and some nice dinner and return back by 2am. Sleep until 11am next day Or Visit Octa, play ages of empire/other games ( remember no laptop) till 2am. During exam times, do night outs, cram whatever you can to pass, end up as a 6 or a 7 pointer. I am 40+ now, and seeing these videos makes me nostalgic, and at the same time cannot help but notice a sea change in the student life with mobiles, internet, laptops cloud storage making their way into their hootel rooms.

@@manishchandolu3399 there are plenty of opportunities for chem grads if you focus well on the core subjects: 8+ gpa. I studied chem without any interests and got into IT field. You have that option open as well if you happen to screw the acads or earn the wrath of the faculties' ego. But trust me, it is one of the coolest depts of NITT. You will have a gala time for the next 4 yrs. Good luck !!

It's okay even if you take long time for 11th but when you enter into 12th, you've to finish 12th early and then complete revising 11th sooner so better focus on 11th (if you're in 11th )😊
