Been playing guitar for 40 years. I play the national anthem myself and I've seen a thousand renditions of it from other players. This is hands down my favorite version. Especially the outro section. She pretty much stuck to the original song but threw just enough of herself in it just to send it home. FN Awesome !!

Wow! I knew she could really play but that was the most beautiful electric guitar version I have ever heard of the anthem. Total control.

Best I've ever heard. No need to show off, just play it with class. Great musician Nita is. And to all those saying because this was a recorded track, she somehow lacks confidence...wrong. Its dictated by the production, she has no say. What happens if her amp or guitar electronics quit half way thru the song? This is why productions dictate she do a recorded version ahead of time. She is Alice Coopers guitarist and can shred. Not her choice....

@michaelglucksman147 Жыл бұрын
As stated earlier, you are a moron. Do yourself a favor and email Zakk and ask him to teach you about the influence Hendrix had on rock guitar playing, then listen to the first 3 Hendrix albums over and over again and you will begin to understand what I am talking about.
@marklupo3441 Жыл бұрын
@@michaelglucksman147 no need to be a jerk I was just saying how good zakks was. People get their feelings hurt way to easily today. Zakks rendition was better than Hendrix. Hendrix was one of his influences. I know this. I listened to him growing up. I get it for the time and era he was great. But stop pretending he’s the greatest guitar player ever. He was great, not the greatest.

You're an idiot. Watch closely and you can see especially near the end where there is clear evidence she's playing along with a track. Look closely around 1:33 there's a slide note she doesn't play and she begins to fall behind the track a bit even missing some notes. I love Nita but a fake is a fake.

@Bridging_the_Political_Divide6 жыл бұрын
I disagree. I certainly love Steve Vai, and as great a technician as he is, his version doesnt reach me like this one. Overplaying the anthem isnt good. Overplaying is never good. She plays this exactly as it should be, all vibrato, no wah, letting the notes ring out. This is the best version I've heard.

I am very well aware that she is actually a great guitarist, and that's why it's strange that this solo is playback. Especially the part around 1.20 when her hand stops but some notes continue to play. It's sad.

Are you blind or ignorant of guitar playing ? she doesn't stop playing !!! o_O
@johanneswarn54889 жыл бұрын
Look closely and listen. It only lasts for like a second, she stops playing and a few notes continue despite that. And the overall phrasing doesn't look like it adds up to what i'm hearing.. I've been a bassist for 14 years so i'm quite confident in what i see and hear :)

@CitizenCarrier10 жыл бұрын
Good grief! This chick can actually really play very well. No need to "lip sync" or "air guitar" this. Leave the lip synching to the no talent pop singers. Here's a tip. Play it live. I would actually not mind hearing a missed note or a little mistake live than per recording it for perfection. I think most people would rather hear it live. So if you make a boo boo, big deal. It's live and it happens. We would have more respect for you if you played it live than look ridiculous screwing up a synch job. That makes it look like you have no confidence in your talent. Because this chick has lots of talent.

It had to be faked, that's what the American national anthem is all about
@Bridging_the_Political_Divide6 жыл бұрын
Usually the production dictates recorded or live....not her call. What happens if her guitar or amp craps out in middle of song? This girl can shred, its not lack of confidence. Not her call...
