I wish all product review sites had such a good demonstration.... this was outstanding!

I just recently bought this flashlight and I really love it. I've only been using this in an urban environment though. It's nice to use when walking home knowing you have access to a blinding light. I can't wait to try this out on my weekend overnight backpacking. A friend, despite my warning, tested the light on himself and he was seeing black spot for around 5 minutes or so. Stupid really, but well, now I know it works. :-)

Have Nitecore improved the heatsinking on the EA41, I fried 2 EA4W due to it's poor heatsinking. Also does it come with a warm emitter ?

Is it as bright with Ni-MH batteries even though they're 1.2V?... as opposed to alkaline which are 1.5V?

Going Gear do you know of any flashlights that have a blinking indicator light in the switch or somewhere else on the light itself so it can be found in the dark? Preferably a flashlight that takes 18650 batteries and is around or over 1000 lumens. I like the style of the ea41 but it's not 18650 and the switch doesn't constantly blink so I can find it in the dark. I'm not a fan of the glowing paint and o-rings many lights use. Thanks.

***** I just looked it up and downloaded a manual for it. It has no blinking indicator. Like most of nitecores lights it has a beacon mode for the light itself but not something that is on all the time. I mean a blinking light that stays on as long as batteries are in it so if it's on my tv or on my shelf and power goes out I can see it blinking and get it. Thanks.

Going Gear what lights are they? It doesn't have to be a single 18650. 2-3 is fine. I see that nitecores EA1,EA2,EC1,EC2 all have the blinking red beacon on the side but the light itself isn't anywhere close to 1000 lumens. Thanks.

***** ok thanks. I'm snowed in as well. The tm series are too big and expensive haha. Let me know if you find anything smaller that has that function. Thanks.

why does the EA41 look brighter than all your other 4xaa lights? is it a different camera?
@superjervis9 жыл бұрын
***** Brighter than JBsra40 and SWMd40a? because 'selfbuilt's' reviews shows that it has less throw,less lumens and less CD's but when i compare your beam shots the EA41 looks brighter

***** well that makes sense,i'm going with the SWMd40a...anyway thx for the great reviews,couldn't buy it from you guys though because i'm all the way in Trinidad And Tobago,keep up the great work:)

"1020 Lumens on AAs" Where does the 1020 come from? Even Nitecore's website only states 960 on turbo.
@terratec100110 жыл бұрын
markybyeah Darn! It looks like it's not available via the UK site (yet!).
@ComfortablyNumb196910 жыл бұрын
The 2014 version is 960 lumens. The 2015 version will have a max of 1020 lumens. What does it matter? To see any real distinct difference in output, you need almost a 50% increase
