This is something I have wanted. I think that the u shape helps in preventing activation when it is in a pocket.

Luv this new tail cap, will get it soon. Current tail cap sometimes accidentally triggered when crouching or when getting out of the car while in belt attachment or pocket clip.

Nitecore flashlights have a lockout mode. Just slightly twist the tailcap counter clockwise and it won't switch on when the buttons are presses, but it will still charge. Then just slightly twist the tailcap clockwise to use it again. Not sure why Nitecore don't tell people that. I read it online somewhere.

Thank you for your demonstration and I will be purchasing one. Any idea when or if NiteCore will come out with a tail cap that vibrate’s? My wife simply loves the warmth that my P20iX puts out and in her opinion a vibration feature should double its sales. Thanks

No, it’s an accessory. Less than $20, it’s not too expensive and that way, you can have both. I’ve been thinking about getting one, but I really don’t tail stand all that much and I don’t have problems with accidentally turning it on. I would utilize the lanyard function though with a custom lanyard just for aesthetics, yet it’s not much of a needed item, so maybe I’ll get one in the future, I’m fine for now.

You say it will work with any iseries but will it work with the p35i.

Yes it will work with the P35i, you will need to reconnect your previous tailcap to have a USB-C port to charge the battery inside, but the NTC2i does work, both the mode pedal on the tail cap and the side button will both change the brightness modes and operate in the same way.

From what we can tell that is an error as the NTC2i is supposed to be compatible with all 21700 i series flashlights and as the p30i fits under that category I do not see why they said it would be incompatible unless they randomly gave that light in particular different threading.
