I have always been one that was and is devoted to enlightenment from the age of 6 now being 55. I'm never board with this but ever seeking greater understanding of self.

Retaining your ability for pure questioning is what matters. Answers are frozen parts of you. These words "self inflicted boredom" woke me up! Gratitude to Guru

I certainly become stuck in self-inflicted boredom and feel like giving up. I declare that I will reach and retain the space of pure questioning.

What does "pure questioning" exactly mean?
@Sydebern8 жыл бұрын
Questioning as a pure wondering, without the medium of language (concepts).

Pure Questioning means questioning without making any assumptions. Swamiji explained in one of the first discourses on Kenopanishad that the beauty of the Upanishadic Rishis (scientist-saints) was their complete lack of assumptions. They ask pure questions like, "From whom does all this come," and "By whose power does the observer see, and the scene unfold?" By not making any assumptions about reality, they ask those truly fundamental questions about life. The Upanishad goes on to state that those who know they don't know fully, but also who don't know that they don't know anything, they truly know. It's a beautiful practice to do "manana" (contemplation) on these. When Swamiji says to keep your pure questioning alive, He means not to lose the joy and curiosity of wonder. I highly recommend watching those discourses on Kenopanishad!
