Pharma Sector - Top 7 Trends Impacting the Future | Hindi

Pharma Sector was considered as one of the defensive sectors in the stock market. But recent developments in pharma sector has broken this conviction. The reason being pharma sector is one of the worst performing sectors in last one year. It has delivered double-digit negative returns to investors.
Some of the key reasons for underperformance are increased competition. Moreover, the 40% revenue depend on the exports. Therefore any protectionist measures by countries importing from India also hurt the Indian Pharma Sector.
The price regulation and online pharmacy will keep the profitability under the check. Lastly, strengthening rupee also hurt the bottom line of the export-oriented sectors like pharma. Brokerage houses are also bearish on the prospects of pharma sector.

Muze yahase Munafa hi huw tha. 1 sal se bas daily trading karta hu....Sun Pharma mera pasnd wala stock hay. Daily Rs. 5 to Rs.15 per share munafa hohi jata hay. bas Rs.1k seRs. 3/4k mil jate bas.

From business perspective...Pharma companies don't earn from rural healthcare and they are not dependent on this segment for profitability. 40% business is from outside India and they are more concerned to protect this business. The fact shared by you is known from last 70 years but none of the pharma companies focused on this segment or tried to capture this market. The reason being rural markets are cost sensitive.
