US holds around 8K tons of gold reserves. Today's currency is backed by gold. Even if we combine the gold reserves of BRICS nations, it comes around 5K tons. A new currency won't help if it is backed by gold. They need something else to back it. Probably Bitcoin but crypto has its own demerits.

One of the reasons why the US dollar is used internationally is because unlike other currencies such as the Rupee, it is fully convertible in international transactions. What makes a currency like the US dollar fully convertible is that its based on something finite such as petroleum as opposed to fiat (or whatever the government decrees the value.) sir jo apne bola tha aur yaha 19:38 pe example diya hai vo dono alag baat nahi hui? apne bola ki "bahar jo gold market hai usme agar gold ke price bhad jaye " is line ka matlab toh hua ki "1USD ke badle apko 28gm gold mil raha hai aur bahar 1USD ke badle 20gm gold mil raha hai (bahar gold price jada hai) toh log US se dollar exchange karke gold lenge aur profit mei sell kar denge" yeh jo apne bola sahi bola par jo 19:38 pe example liya hai vo galat hai apne jo bola uska ek dum opposite isme 1USD ke badle US 28gm gold de raha hai aur bahar market mei 1USD ke badle 40gm gold matlab bahar gold sasta hai aase mei toh log bahar ke market se gold buy karnege aur US se GOLD KE EXCHANGE MEI USD LENGE JISME TOH US KA HI FAIDA HAI I GUESS ,correct me if i am wrong
