I’m following up my critical review of Nitram’s charcoal holders with a more positive review of the Nitram Sharpening Bloc: A sanding pad for sharpening sticks of charcoal. In this video I’ll explain why I love mine and consider it to be completely worth the price, while also highlighting a couple alternatives.

Or get a sandpaper and make the block of your choice, for less than 1$. Add an extra 0.50$ and get a different grit sandpaper, for even better result's than the expensive one.

I just use a pice of "wood" and glue a pice of sandpaper on it, custom size, you can choose the grid...but thanks for the review!

I’m getting these for my classroom. I have the small sanding pads. They don’t last long.

I think these will last a long time! I haven’t yet had to change mine.
