Yes it a screamer that the way I do it the only way to get it done . Ya. As long as you never stop moving it. Very good advice . A pair of digital calipers and also knowing that some piston have a closed end on one side and will never take a clip can save a good amount of frustration and time.💯👍✌️

Front bearing does seal the engine and not the crankshaft.
@zanderfowler7995Ай бұрын
Same as the concept of crankcase seals on rc engines.
@thebug4046Ай бұрын
I have several engines that run without any seal in the front bearing at all. I have tested The theory years ago and removed the front dust seal and ran the engine in a test stand and it made no difference in it's performance. Or leaking. Lots of airplane engines run with an open front bearing since they are not on the ground getting covered in dirt. I seen some guy on KZbin awhile ago pissed off at some engine manufacturer because his front bearing was leaking on a new engine so he replaced it and it still leaked. How did he test it? Buy plugging the exhaust and carburetor and blowing into the fuel line with the engine under water watching for bubbles. You tune it to rich on the low speed it will leak no matter what you do.
@zanderfowler7995Ай бұрын
@@thebug4046 well atleast none ready to run engines need the “dust cover “ for a seal. Seen it and had it happen multiple times haven’t tried the theory on a rtr engine.

for me how I remove the front bearing I use a socket piece out of a wrench set that is a little bit bigger than the crankshaft that can hit the front of the bearing and then I hit on it from the back kinda like a dowel pin it's the socket size piece that I use to remove the glow plugs
@thebug4046Ай бұрын
You can do it that way as long as you add some heat so it doesn't stress the block And just make sure when you're putting the bearings back in not to hit the inner race

Thanks for the tips! 🤘🏼Don’t use map gas you will melt it! Lmfao!

Hello, I'm new to the nitro world and I'm wondering if you might be able to to give me some advice. I have a cen Ctr 5.0 and the carb throttle arm is broken. The grub screw broke off and the arm keeps falling off. I can't find the part so could I possibly use a different carb? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Than k you. Great vids.
@thebug4046Ай бұрын
Hey man I'd have to see it. What I can suggest is going on Facebook and looking for the Nitro RC enthusiast group I'm an Admin in there you can post up about sead issues and we can point you in the right direction. I wish I could give you more advice but I don't really know anything about that model to be honest with you

Hey man thank you very much for the kind words I really appreciate it and I'm glad that my videos are helping people that's why put them up since there's so much poor advice out there and things that aren't done properly which screw with people and cost a money time and patience. 💯😎🍻

What bearings do you use?
@thebug4046Ай бұрын
Acre usually

Yo bug, quick question... As I was putting together my engine I noticed that my clutch bearings were a lil stiff/tight but I put some oil in them and now they seem fine. Do you think they will be ok?
@thebug4046Ай бұрын
Replacement is a better option since they will do the same thing after a short amount of time and the oil will come out and make the clutch slip
