I agree with ya. Just did this to my stratos 275 pro xl this past weekend. Cleaned it up a little bit didn't really bring back any fluff. Wasnt worth the few hours spent.

The key is to really soak the carpet first.

Do you think that the white drill brush was stiff enough? My thoughts are that it is too soft so just ordered a set of green ones.

Ummm, personally no. I went with what I have. The brushes I use are also for household use and also cleaning the carpet in my cars. If you're buying new and only for your boat carpet, go stiffer. Just be careful on your drill setting so you don't burn through the carpet. Keep moving and add more water if needed and you'll be fine. Good Luck!

Any idea if this shaving cream method works on removable boat carpets on a chaparral? Or fixed bass boat carpet only? Thx

I tried it as an experiment..not sure it was a great method. Drill brush works great for lostening the dirt but don't know there is anymore cleaning agent in shaving cream that a carpet cleaner.
