What is nitrogen gas pressure
@ElimGarak_DS96 жыл бұрын
From what I've learned, pressure of your nitrogen is secondary to the size of your bubble size in the liquid aluminum. Pressure will be differed depending on the volume of your aluminum. The best achievable target is a 1mm bubble to maximize the surface area to absorb hydrogen and maximize amount of time that bubble stays in the liquid aluminum (more time to absorb hydrogen). Rule of thumb is that if your bubbles are larger than 5mm then you're wasting nitrogen as it is floating up too fast and not absorbing hydrogen. The orifice of the nozzle directly assists with smaller bubbles. I hope this helps! I'd be happy to hear your notes if you've learn anything to the contrary.

@@ElimGarak_DS9 Hi, I am quite new to aluminum smelter, why do we have to absorb the hydrogen? and also do this process increase the al2o3?

You’re using fluxes in the process?

Yes, but hydrogen might be low. (sarcasm) (typo I think, should be bi-films)
