BP does not care about anyone. All they want is more money 🤑💰

Seen this happen at a large laser lab. They entered the beam line relay chamber to change out an EO cell. Dude dropped just like that. He got fished out by a couple guys wearing scuba gear. He got revived and all that happened us he felt drunk, then everything went white and woke up to paramedics. Use the buddy system, your scuba gear and purge with breathing air if possible.❤

Why don't they just add a smell to it like household gass. They make smell like a bad lime or stinky bananas.😊

BP is the worst unsafe places to work on safety. I have worked in places that were really unsafe in the oil and gas industry and what was not good but i would never work for BP.

My biology teacher told me that nitrogen gas is NOT deadly, but actually essential for life!!!
@rosyvision
@rosyvision 3 ай бұрын
It IS deadly in an enclosed space as there is no oxygen in the gas and it doesn't cause a suffocation feeling or has a smell so you don't notice it and can pass out/die in a matter of seconds.

Love these safety officers, Helmet, Glasses, Safety Glasses, Overcoat, Pen Protectors, Steel Toe Boots; they have it all. Probably rarely get out of the office, or off the catwalk. These guys are so fun to work with. In Aviation we sometimes have the opposite issue. I've seen a Tech trying to service the nose strut on a 737 with breathing oxygen, thank God the fittings didn't match. Wow.. that would have been like a rocket through the flight deck on the first landing. hehehe.

At 5% oxygen level when a workers just about to pass out… would they fight to stay alive? Would they gasp for air?

No. They go unconscious immediately.

It's not axphisiation it's hypoxia
@Syclone0044
@Syclone0044 3 жыл бұрын
Okay I looked them up. Hypoxia means a serious lack of adequate oxygen in the body’s tissue at the blood level. Asphyxiation CAUSES hypoxia by abnormal breathing, such as choking/strangulation. So you’re really being pedantic here given this is a safety video, not a Med school program. PS you didn’t even come close to knowing how to spell asphyxiation but you’re here with the nerve to try correcting the video?

I have suffered from Hypoxia while flying single engine aircraft. It seems more subtle and you can recover by decending to a lower altitude. These guys seem to lose everything in a matter of seconds. Alcohol has the same effect.

@@Syclone0044 I do think (however bad her spelling) she is correct. Asphyxiation is generally associated with physical blocking of the airway. So take a breath there YT Traffic Cop... heheh.. you'll be ok.
