Trying to Get Rich off Clickbait Roblox Games

Clickbait games that feature practically no gameplay and exist only to scam robux from children run rampant on Roblox. Their colorful thumbnails, icons, and descriptions promise a world full of fun and memes to unsuspecting young Roblox players, only to drop them into a game that they can barely see past all the gamepass buy buttons clogging their screens. With how awful these games clearly are, it's hard to imagine how they could ever be successful organically. Are these games actually getting hundreds of thousands of unique visits, or is it all just bots, scams, and other illicit methods? In this video, I aim to find out by immersing myself into the world of clickbait Roblox games and creating some myself. 20, to be precise.

reasons why the experiment failed: - if games have a really tiny amount of visits, or have just been released, they will show up miles deep into the search, even if you search up the exact same name - when searching up small games, they only appear if theres no other game like them and they have over 1000 visits, but with clickbait games its the opposite - the most popular clickbait games attract the most players due to them showing up at the very top, which is why almost every other game gets 0 players. they did this by being some of the first few games about their genre, and were able to maintain their playerbase because of how long the glass bridge was - most community posts dont get many views, which is why it only got around a thousand people to comply basically the only ways to get rich by this is through botting a game, being early to the genre, advertise an insane amount of robux, or change a previously popular game edit: if your game is pretty good, advertising is insanely important, and better when not with roblox ads. a lot of games blow up because of youtubers such as bake da baby, easiest game on roblox (basically blew up overnight because a small youtuber ~1000 subs made one video), and almost every front page game

This was a great look into the scummier, scammier side of ROBLOX development. It was really interesting to see that the games flopped, even with the advertising and backing of your platform. The video was overall an entertaining and informative watch. My question is this: How long are videos just concepts or ideas before they eventually become real videos? I have a feeling the main reason why they didn't get visits is because you didn't add an age guideline to your game. If there is no age guideline, by default, the game is restricted to 13+ accounts only. Probably most people who play these clickbait games are under 8 years old and probably registered their account with their real birthday.

I played your skibid game and the problem is that you can't see the bridge in the dark. The glass and the dark background make it almost impossible (for me, maybe because I'm on the highest graphic settings) to see the bridge. Kids love to see colour stimilu so this is an important factor. The glasses also respawn instantly so you can't expect a kid to remember where to jump for more than 3 jumps and makes them rage quite instantly. For the visits, yeh u need to pay ads lol. Always has been, games don't get a random playercount jump if the visits have been on zero. If they search bridge game they will see yours almost last

I know a few big time devs IRL and the reason it didn't blow up is because you need to collaborate with youtubers and tick tok creators. Kickstarting a brand new game costs anywhere from $2k-10k in youtube sponsrships. It's worth noting that sponsorships go MUCH farther than roblox ads, and they are really the ONLY way to start a new game from nothing.
