hey chad, if ya' want, I am building a nice little 409 Small block chevy, projects changed a bit, from the small dome, I'm going big dome, and heading around 13.6:1 compression, 6 inch rods all forged, I think that will give Ole' Bluegrass express a good kick in the rear.

You can take a stock 400 crank an the 400 rods an u can buy any 305 pistons. But u HAVE to have ur rotary assembly balance. Or it won't last long. I built the poor boy 383 stocker using the 400 crank an rods an bought 30 over 350 pistons an had it balanced. An some of the after market 400 cranks we're externaly balanced. U need to make sure that crank was for a 5.7 rods or 6.0 because of the counter weights.
