This is a relief the entire time I thought my kid had lice but they never turn brown or hatch it's crazy how much they look alike

I have had head lice myself two times in a row . The last time I had it at the end of it they all gone away. Just by using Coca Cola soda it worked perfectly never got any more they were totally gone.
@myliceadvice44039 ай бұрын
Hey Terri, so then I'm assuming you no longer have lice? Typically Coca Cola doesn't work well for people, because it doesn't kill lice bugs or the lice eggs/nits. But I'm glad that you were able to get rid of lice that last time, because lice is the worst.

You're so welcome! I find that even school nurses confuse lice and dandruff! Especially DEC Plugs, they look so similar. I'm glad you found this video, I hope you're dealing with dandruff and not lice 😀. But either way, at least you know for sure now. All the best! -Theresa, My Lice Advice

i’ve had lice on and off for a year now. i used a prescription lice treatment from my doctor, but my head is still itchy and i have a rash on the back of my neck. i had my mom check my hair multiple times and we have seen empty nits, but no live lice. any advice?? is it possible these are just eggs from my previous infestation??

Is it possible to find one single nit (goldenish) and no lice? I have combed through my daughter's hair 3 times and only the 1st time I found something questionable that looks like a nit. I loaded her hair with conditioner and parted it thoroughly and combed through every section, up and down, side to side, etc. Her cousin recently had a lice issue but was cleared by a lice removal lady. Her parents took her back and they found one single live lice but no nits.
@myliceadvice44035 ай бұрын
Yes, its possible to find just one nit. Or, it could have been a DEC plug, which looks very similar. Either way, it sounds like you did a very thorough lice check and your daughter doesn't have anything else in there, so it sounds like she's in the clear. All I'd recommend is doing another check in a few days.

Is it true Lice live in clean hair more than dirty hair?
@myliceadvice440310 ай бұрын
Lice have an easier time crawling and attaching to clean hair than dirty hair because they can grip the hair easier. But, ultimately anyone can get lice, it doesn't matter if their hair is clean or dirty.

my daughter had lice for over a year and i would comb it out every time she showered but i could never get them all out. For a few months now she still has tons of eggs but when i comb through theres no lice her hair is also not itchy. They look white in the hair but when you pull some of them out there brown what does this mean and what do i do?
@ic14939 ай бұрын
My daughter got them at school. What i saw made a big difference when I kept Dawn dish soap in my shower. She used this before her normal shampoo and conditioner. She then uses a hair oil after shower to keep her hair hydrated and healthy. Worked better than anything i used.

How to clean nit from hair ..? 😢
@myliceadvice440311 ай бұрын
For getting nits/lice eggs out of the hair, you can pick them out by hand (nit-picking), but you're much better off getting a good metal lice comb and combing them out of the hair. I suggest watching my other video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aojVfaVmbdtjo9E&lc=UgyBYu1VBejqFRdZAQd4AaABAg

My son brought lice home from school and I treated him and myself twice. He appears to be in the clear and I am combing almost nothing out but then I’ll see some random tiny white specs and my head is still slightly itchy. Even though I combed for a long time and nothing came out on the comb. Also would they be flakey looking? Is that an empty nit?
@myliceadvice440310 ай бұрын
Anything that is "flaky" looking or irregularly shaped is going to be dandruff related. Nits always have a distinct tear-drop shape. I have a really detailed video and pictures of the differences between lice and dandruff here: myliceadvice.com/lice-vs-dandruff-lice-eggs-photos/

Hi Aman. Having lice is horrible, but you're right; the nits, the more tedious part. On my website, I have a step-by-step video system that'll walk you through EXACTLY how to get rid of every lice bug AND lice nit in one treatment to be done with lice for good. If you're interested in that, here's a link to it. myliceadvice.com/how-to-get-rid-of-lice-like-a-pro/. That's the fastest way to get rid of it. If you decide that you want to take the longer route, plan on spending at least a week or two combing and nit-picking. Having a good lice comb makes a big difference. So, if that's the route you choose, then is the lice comb that I'd recommend www.amazon.com/Nit-Free-Terminator-Lice-Comb/dp/B000HIBPV8/ref=sr_1_5?keywords=nit+free+terminator+lice+comb&qid=1643399946&sprefix=nit+fr%2Caps%2C127&sr=8-5. -Theresa, My Lice Advice

NY schools no longer have a no nit policy. The cdc doesn't want kids unable to attend school if they have nits. They don't even recommend sending kids with live love gome until normal end of day. This seems like a crazy policy? Am I out of date to beleove every nit needs to be gone before kids can be allowed back to school? I get not wanting to exclude kids. But are we helping them to prolong the lice problem for them and all of us?
