if youre in kanji's bathhouse on 5/20 you can just get a random skill change to get megido regardless of level, in speedruns we use this to get megido, repel physical, mind charge, brave blade as well as some other abilities on this day way earlier than normal

@@Mageman17 in the route i use yeah it has kaiwan involved, i don't know if it's dependant on him though. we just use rng manipulation on random skill changes from fusion to change specific skills to others so we turn dekaja to megido, tetrakarn into repel physical and repel physical into brave blade and then pass them all down onto a single persons all on 5/20 which is when we first start kanjis dungeon

So the Reaper seems to always start each battle with a mind charge, so if you use trifuri (the escape skill) you can always run from him. Helpful for when you want to continue picking up items from chests as escaping from his battle resets his counter.

Alternatively you just leave the floor when you max the counter (21 chests), and that resets the counter to 0. You miss one chest, but don't have to spend SP

@@magicball3201 that doesn’t seem to work for me because the Reaper will just appear in a chest on the next floor. The sound effect still happens. You seem to have to encounter him to reset the counter.

@@bubbasgotback431 my understanding of the reaper is upon getting opening your 21st chest if you interact with a chest with an enemy in it, it is replaced by the reaper. If you interact with a chest with no enemy, or leave the floor/dungeon, the game resets the counter. I've not extensively challenged the reaper, just 2 random encounters plus one more I forced to beat him, so perhaps I'm mistaken. The internet/wiki seemed to indicate as such though

jack frost was the persona i used for the entirety of persona 4 golden for me. at first i did it as a joke because i would get a better persona but i slowly just got jack frost insanely op. i did over 1k damage on the final boss with jack frost on very hard mode. all of his stats were in the high 70s low 80s but his magic got maxed out

Dude! I love this video a ton! such an interesting concept for a challenge, and I love your passion and know how for this game. Quick tip, try and cut out parts where you repeat yourself a ton, like in the beginning you repeated why you have retries on for Yukiko's castle on several times and most of the stream reaction can be covered in post commentary. All this should give a quicker, more animated video, and help increase your watch time. Best of luck man, looking forward to the next part!

I admit, I was thrown off by the leveling not increasing your current health, just your capacity, but I got used to it. Same could not be said for my fear of the Reaper, which people tell me can only spawn in chests after opening certain amount of them. Point is, I knew this was coming up so I never doubted you.

If you spot a golden hand, go up or down a floor and comeback to that floor it's mega likely another golden hand is going to spawn on that floor. So you wouldn't need to save reset a lot of times, just one to get one hand (it might be less time consuming without the saving)

18:17 This is an actual issue with the game. no matter what kind of computer you have, if you stream P4g by OBS or you share screen in discrd, or do both, the ga,me WILL crash eventually, what varies is the amount of time between startup and crashing, it can happen on the title screen, or mid-way into a boss fight... I Would know, I tried this while showing my friends the game.

After having recently beaten P4G for the first time, something occured to me watching these challenge runs of P4: Kamoshida's Castle looks strangely like Yukiko's, at least from the outside. I mean, I love both games, but I just thought I would bring it up. I saw you uploaded this but instead of jumping right into the video, I wanted to wait until I played the game for myself, the same thing with the P3 challenge run.

2.5 hours just for the boss? Rookie numbers. I had to grind 6 hours in Persona 3:Reload just to finally get ONE copy of Invigorate I. It was an actual tragedy. It's a dumb challenge run where I am trying to get all trophies and the true ending in one run, and I've calculated about perfectly what needs to be where to get everything done in a single run. Unfortunately the timing to do it all in one run is pretty strict, so Tartarus blocks need to be fully done in one single Dark Hour each so that I can get literally everything done. I was using a route through Tartarus floors 36-42, where you had the highest chance of Rank 4 cards, I was basically level 22 before finally being able to get to the next parts of the game. Hilariously enough, P5 Royal was not nearly as messy. I haven't tried it for P4 Golden, but I imagine it'll probably be about as grindy because SP regen skills are in cards like 3. P5 was easy once you get Death with the ability to sell the SP accessories, which you can probably do even before the 3rd Palace and money is P5 is stupid easy to get with Chariot 7 and a couple hours in Mementos.

A little correction: boost and amp don't stack additively, but multiplicatively, i. e. using both you get not 175% damage but 187,5%
