Something new occurs to me each time I listen to this. Romans is clear and to the point.

I just looked up David Suchet and discovered he grew up with no religion and as an adult he read Romans 8 in a hotel room and that’s how he found Christ. When I first came to believe Romans especially chapter 12 and 8 were my favorite chapters in the Bible.

Thank you for sharing that about David Suchet, I did not know that.

Same. I grew up with no religion. Spent decades looking for "truth", only to end up with what was right in front of me all along.

Romans is Paul’s masterpiece on God‘s grace and the fact that we are saved by faith alone, in Jesus Christ alone, and our salvation has nothing to do with our works such as: good behavior, endurance to the end, & obedience to the promptings of the Holy Spirit. However, our spiritual growth, discipleship, & extra rewards in heaven do involve those things.

Romans 8:14 would disagree with your statement.

Salvation has nothing to do with good behavior?…seriously? You need to reread all the epistles.
