This is some top jank, great deck! I play mage in every video game and I love casting spells (and jankiness), so this deck looks like the perfect thing for me to tinker with. Loving the start to jank week, and looking forward to seeing what madness you unleash this week! I do wonder if you considered adding the royal scions to the deck though, the +1 buffing the krakens coupled with the ultimate being dependant on hand size (which is guaranteed to be large due to the mirror) makes it seem like a perfect fit, wondered if you had a reason to not include it cgb!

I love the fireside chat postgames and I do like the in-depth explanation for the deck beforehand, but I'm not sure if you need both. I would say an explanation for a trickier deck would be best suited beforehand rather than afterwords, and a fireside chat would be better suited for a more aggressive deck. There's something to be said about "this is why I think thrill of possibility is important in this deck" versus "gruul smash...gruul tired...gruul fireside chat"

I've tried this deck since I had most of the components, very interesting. Low win probability against aggros but fun to play. I once won against an Ominous Kraken draw deck though. He had about 10 8/8 kraken tokens, while I had 25 1/1 kraken tokens and 2 29/32 Nadir Krakens. I casted Storm's wrath twice then attacked with my biggie Krakens, good game...

Mono Black Magic's decks are usually win-more, where they already have a win condition but they go through loops to get to another one instead. Plus, he misplays a whole lot or forgets what the point of the deck is.

True. The latter is what some people seem to like, so that's fine. But the win more stuff is so true - no, it's not a creative deck if it wins through Teferi, Shatter the Sky and Elspeth QD and THEN plays some "jank" cards on top of that.

I definitely appreciated the longer "deck review". I wish more MTG deck tech videos did the same. It did not take a lot of time and doing so helped me to think through the build before you played the deck. This could be your modus operandi making your vids a bit more distinctive.
