Niv-Mizzet, Parun Budget Commander Deck | MTG

Today, I'm going over a budget commander deck that I've built around Niv-Mizzet, Parun, a commander that was suggested by a viewer who specifically wanted me to avoid leaning into infinite combos. So, this deck instead focuses on using and amplifying Niv-Mizzet's burn effects from drawing, instants and sorceries, progressively lowering life totals and pinging down our opponents creatures, and is intended for casual EDH.

YOOOO I DIDN'T ACTUALLY THINK THIS WOULD HAPPEN. Actually made my day. Very excited to see what you came up with. Keep up the good content my gamer, you're easily one of the best deck-build-explainer-maker channels out there(it's a small niche but a niche is a niche darn it!). Edit after actually watching: Very cool ideas! We went totally different directions with our builds(mine focusing much more on wheeling and benefiting through cards like Chasm Skulker, Locust God(when I can get my hands on one, one of these days) or Psychosis Crawler for additional wincons than just pinging things)! Would you consider Faithless Looting for this deck? Super cheap, repeatable draw in red seems really valuable, especially when it's only 0.40 according to Card Kingdom. Overall though an excellent deck with cards I will certainly be ordering when I next get the chance/funds! Thanks again for the decklist, and keep it up man! You're doing good work.

Intresting take, i have played niv alot and workt on my list alot and i would tip to get down the cmc of your spells as much as you can so you can trigger niv more times, here are some recomendations Harmonic Prodigy is sick with niv, u deal 2 dmg and draw 4 cards with one trigger from niv Storm kiln artist is fun i use strike it rich since it replaces itself when niv is out and in my version niv is the only expensive cards so it fits fine sigil of sleep, gorgons head and basilisk collor os so cool Bolt bend, foil, frantic search. snap, snapback, stuborn denial, and submerge have great synergy with niv I go for combo niv but i respeckt and think its cool to go a more casual line with him and i wish all niv player the best luck and may you spread menace to all mtg tabels!

Really happy to see rockslide sorcery. I was looking for a wizard with that kind of effect. I found other cards that were similar, but not a wizard. I care about tribe loyalty when building a deck

I've come to really love Big Score in this deck. Not only triggering commander 3 times if it's out but playing it on curve gets you to 6 Mana with the treasure it makes

Niv mizzet mio padre, i like to put all infinite combos in the deck so that i loose all my friends

Is it so important to have unlimited hand size? I get that you potentially draw a lot but how many of the cards you would otherwise discard are likely to be relevant? In particular the 0 mana artifact that only gives you unlimited hand size seems like a wasted slot.

In 1x1 Matches it is a waste slot. But when playing With 3 or more players, you Will buy at Last 1 card per player turn.

I think its a waste, you should be abel to deal with whatever with your the best 7 u have, but i also like mine niv to have mor low cost cmc cards to be easier to cast and trigger niv more

And the only time he should have said "instance" was when he was talking about "The Ring Tempts You" being the only "Instant" of that effect in the deck...
