NixCon2024 Deterministic Firmware with Nix

I was wanting something like this! cause my hp envy desktop since moved from windows to linux and then to nixos, has an outdated firmware bios dated to 2021, and hp does not provide as far as I can understand an update without me switching back to windows which is like no thank you. I am 24% out of 100% to being a nixos,nix, nixpkgs power user, however with only 24% I am still beginner and hope that others more well versed can do tutorials to bring the power of nix* to firmware, bios like we have to operating system
