We choose this song to express out love for this beautiful country and its people who have seen decades of war and invasion, and yet they always manage to rise up and rebuild.

Mullah Mohammad Jan or (Bia Ki Borim ba Mazar) is one of my favorite song, which is sung beyond Afghanistan. From Iran to Tajikistan and recently it’s compose was copied by Sami Yusuf in his famous album “Hasbi Rabbi “. A pure and unique folk music which derivates from a real story which occurred in Khorasan, which nowadays is called Afghanistan. While Amir Alisher Navai one of great Timurid dynasty’s ministers was going to pilgrimage trip to the city of Mazar e Sharif town near ancient Balkh realized that there is a lover- Muhammad Jan who loves a girl named Ayisha whom her father did not want to marry to Muhammad Jan. The Amir goes to girl’s home, satisfying her father for their marriage.

ImaMonaKnight Dari or Farsi e Darbari is not a dialect. Indeed it is the formal Farsi and spoken by Kings and in courts during the Sassanid Empire. The Iranian Farsi is a dialect of Farsi e Darbari.

Yes, and a thousand languages are spoken in Canada with that logic (I am settled in Canada and I speak dari, does this mean its national language here?). The national languages are still Urdu and English in Pakistan. Not Dari/farsi because those are Afghan languages Adeel ch
