Mob Entertainment is filled with so many talented people! And the original Catnap ending with him losing skin and flesh and dying in a very disturbing way, this makes me think this is likely one of those things Micah was talking about that had to be cut due to fear of getting an M rating

The concept catnap gives me strong Epic Mickey Concept art vibes. Terrifying monsterous designs of nightmare fuel to the point it stops being a spooky kids game and turns into a more mature psychological horror (mostly on epic mickey's part). Where just looking at the creature is scary and resulsive enough, let alone fighting it! I often wonder why the cooler designs are scrapped? Too detailed? Technology unable to do it justice? Target audience too young? It really makes you think. Especially since when I was a kid horror games were : Martian Gothic Unification, Alien, Silent Hill, Resident Evil, Parasyte Eve and Dino Crisis. All of which were games I definitely shouldn't of played as a kid but friends and places that had them didn't know any better/liked it anyway. Games like Zoochosis coming out show that you can do something just as scary so it makes you think why you get the lesser designs? Then again as a european 90's kid I grew up with theme parks having hidden animatronics that were terrifying and there to scare you so that's probably why i'm a bit of a chicken for horror games. But then again it's why I also like them so much, its an uncomfortable area that feels new and dangerous :p

Yeah nightmare catnap being made of bodies probably would have been too much but definitely cool!
