Girl, you should look into getting a shark steam mop to replace the swifter wet jet! It has a small tank that you fill w/ distilled water, and you can add any type of essential oils into. It heats the water so it disinfects with steam. It’s nice because you don’t have to use/go through so many swifter pads. Just a recommendation✨

Your apartment is very pretty. I like netural colors also white, black, cream. I couldn't help seeing a comment asking since you where white if you where supporting the black businesses since with whites moving there it was making it difficult. Sorry but I had to reply. I didn't know we're looking at color to live anywhere, that's discrimation no matter your color. You live in a neiborhood period, where you like, what you can afford, and it is no one's responsibility regardless of color to feel guilty or your making it hard for others. I do think you should support your community and buy some but not made to or said because of your color you should. But again your apartment is so cozy and nice.

I have a very real question and I hope you respond: the part of NJ you live in is a predominantly Black community and these types of building are the leading causes of the gentrification thats currently happening downtown. How are you making sure you’re supporting local vendors and/or businesses of color (specifically Black businesses) in your area so that they also don’t lose their homes due to growing coffee shops etc as more white business folks move into these buildings? I’m a Black individual who also wants to move downtown but knows the effects it has on the communities. It would just be more comforting to know that there are some steps residents like you (in a higher income bracket) are taking to make sure that these communities are STILL being supported regardless.
