In November/December they should be hitting on a lot of beaches in NJ, get a pair of waders and some warm clothes, and a 9-11 ft rod with decent reel and throw some lures - you are guaranteed to have some fun!

what ft rod where you using for these stripers?

In this video I borrowed my brothers gear because my gear was not in NJ at the time, so I was using a 7 foot rod here. Normally I would use a 9 foot surf rod for better casting distance. Thanks for checking out the video!

@@lucas-dt5kz absolutely, my current surf rod is the 9' jigging world onyx. Very similar specs. You may want to consider one size bigger (10'6") for a little bit bigger lure capacity.

You’ll do better at glen rock pond with senkos or a jig it will take a few years for the ridgewood duck pond to sustain large bass they just restocked it they put all the previous fish in the river

What size and color swim Shad produced best?

6" swim shad, in white or natural color both produced very well. There are also 6" "heavy" versions that are 3oz and can cast very far, and are also great on boats for getting down fast.
