Still amazes me how diverse the NJT fleet is compared to the nearby commuter railroads

Its nice to see old freight locomotives get another lease on life

From what I know there are only two F40PH-2CAT locomotives left in service for New Jersey transit it’s great that they’re still in service the wind of their headend power generator Is music to my ears

I live near the Atlantic City Line, so this was very interesting to watch. Thanks.

I thought they only had 4119 on revenue runs? Are they running both (4119 and 4120) now?
@ROTE2 жыл бұрын

This is a questing that has been driving me crazy for the past few years: How is the Diesel engine reving if the Cab car is obviously pulling it? Is the diesel pushing the train backwards without any humans inside of the diesel train?
@FanRailer2 жыл бұрын
The cab car doesn’t pull or push anything; it just controls the diesel.

@@FanRailer Ohhhhh Now I finally know why the Diesel engine is reving when the cab car is pulling it

Do you know why NJT is using so much diesel power on the Morris & Essex?
@frenchchicken27992 жыл бұрын
Pretty sure it's to diversify each fleet. Morris & Essex line tends to be short staffed when it comes to working on the tracks due to power issues especially when departing Denville as it happened this morning when i was waiting at Maplewood for the morning train.

Does this train terminate at Penn Station NY or Hoboken?
@Saxshoe Жыл бұрын
These trains could be terminating at either location. The Diesels you see in this video are originating/terminating at Hoboken. The Arrow II EMUs are, for electrical reasons also originating/terminating at Hoboken. The ALP-45DP/ALP-46 trains are likely originating/terminating at Penn Station.
