Even without commentary this video proved to be a helpful ahead of my first trip to Thunderbolt. Fun track. Nice driving.

I'd give just about anything to run my WRX on that track. Just one lap would have more therapeutic value than all the shrinks in the world.

Yeah PDK makes for ride in the park! I too run 24s at Thunderbolt in my 17 SS Camaro but rowing the gears and the beafie torque make for an excellent workout! 3680 lbs just destroys tires a pads!
@ericliu81613 жыл бұрын
The PDK certainly does. We have an S2000 that is manual without autoblip and it adds another element. I am not surprised the Camaro runs a 24 given how capable and underrated it is. Very impressive regardless. The power and weight are not easy to manage. Saw some of your driving on your channel. Very nice!

@@ericliu8161 yeah just eats up consumables. I need to get AIM smarty cam. I run solo dl and yes smarty is expensive but easy. I'll have to bring out my Lamborghini Huracan with AMS Alpha kit to NJMP and run it down straightaway..obviously I'll be braking early! Lol

Do you actually have to lift on the last turn, it doesn't look like you have to unless of course, you're being safe.
@ericliu81612 жыл бұрын
Could be possible! I never quite worked up to it in this car before I sold it. I was definitely conservative under the bridge. A lot of bad wrecks there. I had other areas I was working on first.

@@ericliu8161 Got it. I have zero real life race track experience, I was judging it base on my Gran Turismo experience. 😅 I hope I can track a Civic Type R one day, that would be enough for me.

Great driving! Sorry, can you explain your video description? I assume R7 are hoosiers, but what is the 6 HCs? No other mods? Thanks.
@ericliu81613 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Hoosier R7s with 6 heat cycles. Car has a half cage, headers and exhaust, and Ferodo 3.12 pads.

Thats a great line and pace! The video really accentuates your speed. How is that? At 130mph my go pro and catalyst look like im doing 40mph! Is it because its a wide FOV?
@Sturmovik19464 ай бұрын
Yes, FOV is one of the defining factors of sensation of speed. The narrower it is the less you feel, the higher it is the faster it feels. This is actually a common trick in video games, especially arcade racers where when you boost it widens the FOV.
