I agree. WK18 the beginning of something new. New stars trying to establish themselves while the veteran Naito goes on his last run. I’m excited. But that one guy who reminds me of Shibata needs to leave House of Torture.
The fact that they let Tsuji's theme play as he was attacking SANA-bro was a good one. Tsuji is in tip-top shape and more agile now. Sheeesh!

Jesus Christ what a comeback by Yota Tsuji. I've seen stuff he's been doing in excursion and sure, he impressed me, but this re-debut here...he has the presence of a star. I wonder if NJPW is about to shake things up even more than it has been doing recently and Yota shocks the world, Rainmaker style, and wins the IWGP World Title right away. And then goes on a rampage through the Summer, dominating G1 and winning it as Champion, that would make a *monster* out of him. Godzilla indeed. He's not kidding, he's making NJPW suddenly very unpredictable...and to be honest...it kinda needed that.

Has there ever been a point in New Japan, where the IWGP Heavyweight Champion wins the G1?
@BlackWind-rx5il Жыл бұрын
@@PLUX4 It happened twice I think, Keiji Mutoh/The Great Muta did It and so did Kensuke Sasaki but this was far before the January 4th annual event became known as Wrestle Kingdom and winning It meant getting a shot at the title. It hasn't happened in more than 20 years. Even though technically speaking they consider the IWGP World Title to be a whole new belt different from the IWGP Title of old, despite being born from the unification of the Heavyweight and IC belt...so I guess you can say no *World* champion has done it yet, but it's a technicality.
