Tielman Brother is the oldest music group from Indonesia which is very well known in Europe, especially in the Netherlands and Germany, long before the appearance of the Beatles and The Rolling Stone. In fact, it is said that the two British legendary band groups were inspired by Tielman Brother.

Nope that is not true...Beatles and rolling stone were never inspired by them.. Beatles were inspired by american blues ,elvis and mostly african/American blues Band and the tielman brother were also born in Netherlands and they are also holding Holland passport.

The Tielman Brothers Band The Tielman Brothers was the first Dutch-Indonesian band to successfully venture into the international music scene in the 1950s. They were one of the pioneers of rock and roll in The Netherlands, and are credited with releasing the first Dutch rock and roll single, Rock Little Baby of Mine in 1958. The band became famous in Europe for playing a kind of rock and roll later called Indorock, a fusion of Indonesian and Western music with roots in Kroncong. FINALLY someone has reacted to the Tielman Brothers! I've suggested them to a lot of reactors but none of them checked these guys out and did a vid. Now it seems theyve been re-discovered, awesome. These guys influenced all of the early British and American rockers. The Tielman werent allowed into the states to perform because they were too wild! So happy people are discovering them. Also check out some of the other early Indonesian bands like the Rockin' Blacks and the Crazy Rockers!

no, it really took off when all the Indo's were in the Netherlands in the 50s, specifically in the Hague. When Indonesia became independent after the 2nd WW the process of decolonization started and so especially the Indo's with Dutch heritage weren't welcome anymore. Which I completely understand, after all, the Dutch had exploited the country and its population for centuries. @@goldenagenut
