in Japanese Concerts, they NEVER use their phones to record the show like in western concerts. they just enjoy the moment!

It's also because it's technically banned from nearly every venue. It's only more recently that this has been pulled back a bit. This is mostly due to camera flash and more musicians everyday in Japan have turned to anonymity because they want to keep their private life separate (which both fans and the general populace respect greatly). I mention camera flash because it can be rather irritating when performing, this is why a lot of places that do allow cameras (even here in the states) tell you to disable flash. Also, if it's a new album release at a rather large or prestigious location (like Japan Dome in this case), it's likely the show will be recorded officially, either to be released publicly or as merch on a DVD/digitally, which defeats the purpose for many to record. This isn't like it was before as recorded live shows were very rare even for the most famous musicians, so you had to rely on sneaky cams. This changed as the culture surrounding it did.

Tokyo Dome is the most prestigious dream stage for artists and sportspersons in Japan, having hosted concerts/events from the likes of Michael Jackson, Van Halen, Guns n Roses, Mariah Carey all the way to Mike Tyson. Getting to perform here basically mean you’ve made it. You’ve got check out One Ok Rock’s “Taking off” live from the Nagisaen concert which is probably their biggest- 2 day concert totalling upto 110,000+ people in attendance. OOR is already a household name in Japan and currently the most successful Japanese band internationally. They’re among the very few Rock bands today that can pull off a concert that big on their own. Most who can are those from way back. It’s unfortunate that Hiphop and electronic pop is taking over most music markets today. Japan is probably the only place where Rock/Metal is still very much present in the mainstream industry. And them being the 2nd largest music industry in the world is a huge saving grace for RnR. There’s a reason why even icons like Marty Friedman have permanently moved to Japan. I love Hiphop too but I pray it stays the heck away from there 😅

No one filmed them during the whole concert. None of the audience brought out a camera or cellphone to film the band. They just enjoyed the concert. Look at them singing and jamming with the band. Japanese is so disciplined. Indeed one ok rock is the saviour of Rock and Roll.. 👌

It’s actually a rule not to record, no phone or any cameras allowed. You could get kicked out. But the fact that they obeyed the rules is indeed disciplined!

This song feels especially good song by the crowd because it was written for a choir 😁 long story short: to celebrate Japan moving voting age down to 18, OOR asked fans age 17-19 to sent in videos talking about themselves and their passions, they wanted to write a song about how does it feel stepping into adulthood, inspired by the fans. Then they invited 1000 fans, to rehearse with a choir trainer and perform with the band in a televised performance of We Are. And Taka said something like ‘we were your age when we started this band 10* years ago, and since then our motivation and passion never changed. always stay true to yourself’ 💕 *it’s over 15 years now
