Nice to see that BSL City Hall station is still a dump, yet 15th st MFL station is a major improvement

City Hall concourse is an absolute labyrinth, it's wild how cramped and weird it is down there. but yeah the new entrances and concourse for the MFL are pretty nice

I love how shiny SEPTA keeps their subway trains. The MTA could learn a thing or two from them. Also I just noticed that the doors on the BSL trains aren't an even width apart. I've been on that line before and am only realizing it now.

They’re clean on the outside. Not so much on the inside.

The Broad Street Line trains are definitely in much better shape than the Market Frankford Line trains. Like even mechanically. BSL trains are like 20 years older and have far fewer mechanical issues than the MFL trains that were acquired in the 1990's. SEPTA is going to need to replace the MFL trains way ahead of schedule but BSL cars are going strong with no planned replacement for the forseeable future. Which is fine by me I like the BSL cars a lot.

Septa Should Add a monorail coming from city hall to the art museum
@himbourbanist Жыл бұрын
Or better yet - a trolley line. SEPTA already owns a huge fleet of streetcars and having rolling stock interchangeability is really important for a large, functional system. Monorails tend to be more expensive and underwhelming for what you get when a regular elevated or at-grade train would be just as good, and cheaper / easier to fix and construct
