I think the two stones at the end of these chambers represent the human brain, the idea that one is the square and the other is the circle, and the balancing of these two forces within. the great pyramid was about squaring the circle: the 3 size square representing the moon, the two 3-4-5 triangles on each side and the 11 diameter circle fitting in the square below it is the ratio of the sun to the moon, then if you draw the circle so its perimeter intersects the center of the moon, you've squared the circle by drawing a circle around the square thst holds the earth. so, the sun and the moon represent these two forces so to have the light come in on the equinox symbolises balance between the two hemispheres in the person. another one of the dolmans he showed, the sunlight only comes in on the left side, and the moonlight at full moon will come in on the right side.. the right hemisphere representing the circle and the left the square.

Exactly one hundred miles as the crow flies from Americas Stonehenge is a dolemin sitting on a twelve foot high wall. Serpent walls were astronomical instruments used by the megalithic builders of the area.

Sea Level was rising globally at about 2m per century around 8000 to 7000BP, so the constructions might be slightly older than 6000 years, as the people would have no clue as to whether the sea would ever stop rising. As the sea level topped the continental shelf, it would have flooded the low lying land fairly quickly, which would be quite scary.

I'm with you, Mr Crowhurst. I'll be checking the anomaly datum point near Rudston. Chech that scratchy area immediately north of your point. I predict a huge cairn, now removed by farmers. I aim to demonstrate that it extended exactly to your point! I'll be taking samples and probing with my metal stick !

That would be 10002.06 megalithic yards to be exact, close enough :-)

Some time you may want to do a video on Eastern mathematics like visiting India or search for books that calculate pi but the western mathematics are much more systematic The eastern counterparts often require more work to understand because they lack systems or effort to group the materials

Is the 10,000 neolithic yards as the crow flies? Otherwise, I think it is quite suspect.

Yes it is as the crow flies. Howard has impressed on me that Google Earth now allows us quite easily to find distances between objects which are notably marked. This then opens the way to studying relationships between ancients sites and inquiring if statistically there are any coincidences there that would suggest that the planning of the locations of some of these were deliberate. An obvious example are the various alignments, typically with cardinal directions, or with solstice or equinox directions. In this video Howard introduces another interesting variant--one month into the three month interval the sun is half way between equinox and solstice. Could this be an alignment that megalithic peoples were aware of? Are there other evidences of such?

I was thinking how they could possibly measure distance line of sight without trigonometry. At one thousand megalithic yards, well within seeing and hearing distance, the delay of sight to speed of sound is about 2.4 seconds. This is approximately how long it takes to count to five (for me). I remember being very aware of these delays when i was a child and had to walk long distances. Also notice how difficult it must have been to place those stones there yet the markings inside seem so carelessly scrawled. It makes me doubt the very existence of concepts like straight or uniformity back then. Just a few thoughts. Very interesting subject, thanks for the video.

@@njwildberger, the 1 month and three months thing is probably referring to the sine wave. if you break the circle into 12 ;arts and travel along it, traversing one part will rise you double the... for example in the first quadrant of the sine, the y axis raises much more... 0.33,0.5 ... or sine 30° = 0.5
