Fun fact: if you open your inventory before the fight begins you can have complete control over your character before the fight( during the cutscene) I usually use this extra time to position myself and charge a nail art

They just needed to roll the fire pillar attack cos the ball part is scripted at health braekpoints, and of course the first hit is also scripted
