I enjoy your reviews and like the details you give, so I can refer someone who is interested in this Bible or one similar. I have this one and the KJV one from Thomas Nelson to give as a gift in our ministry. It is nice to have as a starter side wide margin journaling Bible. The red lettering is nice and dark- like a Crimson red which I like in a red letter edition but I am a black lettered Text fan. This does have nice thicker Bible paper which is great for writing notes and also the off white cream paper- from what I’ve read is better for the eyes, for less eye strain and more comfortable reading. That’s why TBS has this off white cream color for some of their Bibles- that has a light yellowish white cream shade to the Bible paper. Some years ago- a few Bible Publishers did a study with some eye doctors- to research the best shade of Bible paper (lighter, darker, more white or off white or a shade of light yellow cream, etc) and found what shade of Bible paper was best for the health of the eyes when reading your Bible or any book. Conclusion was this off white, light yellowish “cream” Bible paper- was the best for reading and the health of your eyes. This is the reason why now most light bulbs have the interesting off white light that shows a very lightning of yellow or cream- to match natural light- as this was most therapeutic and comfortable to human eyes, eliminating most eye strain. So the Bible Publishers, produced both the really white Bible paper and the cream Bible paper- as many are used to the bright white paper, while others adopting to the cream Bible paper. Now you know why they produced this shade of Bible paper and book reading paper, as well as the variants in light bulbs- the off white yellowish cream light bulb 💡 . Most bulbs were bright white before but now are more difficult to find but available and they cost more- to promote the healthy for your eyes type bulb. Most bulbs are a off white with a tint of light yellow or cream to simulate natural light better- as the study found this to be more therapeutic and better for eye sight, eliminating most eye strain. This was interesting when I first heard about it. I inquired after noticing how difficult it was to find traditional bright white light bulbs, while more cream shade light bulbs was easier to find and I also noticed more cream Bible paper being available especially from Europe and America- having this option. So my wife and I try to use our cream Bible paper- Bibles for longer reading, while for short readings- using my bright white Bible paper, that I like a lot being more used to it. We have noticed that we do have much less eye strain, not having to use more but less lubricant eye drops. So at least in my experience, I have noticed this is true. Even though the cream Bible paper is not my preference but it has its eye health and reading benefits- so we incorporated this into our reading schedule. Hope this helps. Great review. Lord bless! 📖 🙏🏻

medical rob the lighting is a huge issue with my eyes. I had to have the lights above my desk at work turned off because of the terrible headaches they caused me. I can use a Bible with this kind of paper in my bedroom just fine but where I sit to film my videos I couldn’t do it or I think it would bug me. It is a bit of a weird color but I was not able to see it in person before buying it, which is one reason I try to give detailed reviews so other people can see them up close and then decide for them self if it is right for them.

I like "daybright" bulbs better than the usual yellow bulbs.

They have a similar one in KJV with slightly smaller type, that says "Journal Edition" instead of "Journal the Word". I bought it to take notes in and it works quite well.

sarachikorita I have the KJV Expressions Bible which has a wide margin. It is nice to be able to find an inexpensive wide margin since many of them are much more expensive.

I really love the cream paper...but worry that 10pt. type might be too small.
@BibleBelievingChristian4 жыл бұрын
10pt can be small depending on the typesetting that is used but with reading glasses I can read this one just fine with no issues, at least for now anyway, that will probably change in the future but it is a great Bible. Thank you for watching and commenting. I appreciate it.

Your wedding band is just like mine.. It is actually my husband’s made to fit me. I had one just like it, but had to have it cut off.. I lost him on January 8, 2014, so my wedding band is doubly previous tipo me.

I am so sorry you lost your husband, I can only imagine how hard that must have been for you and continues to be, our spouses are so close to us and the one we share everything with. I am blessed to have a great husband and he is actually asleep with my dog next to me as we speak. He and I have matching wedding bands and inside our names are engraved along with the date we got married. He has never removed his so when it needs to be shined or polished up I have to do it while it is on his hand. I wear mine all the time except for in the shower I remove it. That is so neat that his was cut down to fit you, that is absolutely priceless to wear the ring that he once wore and that would definitely make it that much more precious for sure. As a Christian woman I take marriage very seriously and my non Christian family and friends don't quite understand it but those who are Christians totally get it. Marriage is a very sacred thing and such a blessing...thank you for sharing your story with me and I am adding you to my prayers list! God bless you sister. Thank you for watching and commenting and sharing your story with me. I appreciate it.

Hi Bible Believing Christian. Have you ever come across the NKJV Unapologetic Study Bible? I picked one up and I just can't seem to warm up to it. Maybe hearing someone else's opinion might help me look at it from another perspective. If you happen to aquire one would you consider doing a review? I'm always blessed when watching these reviews. Thank you for your time and labor.

Keith Stokes I have seen that one online but have never really looked at it and have never owned one. If I get one I will definitely do a review on it. Thank you for watching my videos, I really do appreciate it.

Would an imitation leather version of this be more "portable" and easier to use? I am a University student on the go but would love something I can carry around to write in on my down time! thank you so much for your videos! Theyre amazing. I am new to faith and all two of the four bibles I now have collected were shown by you. I now check on your channel for bibles before I purchase them haha thank you again! god bless!

Miss Via for writing on the go I think a hardcover would be easier cause if you were sitting on the grass on campus and writing then a hardcover would be easier to note in than a soft or leather cover. Depending on the translation you want there are some smaller journaling Bibles that would be more portable if your eyes can take. 7.5-8pt font that is. Right now Christianbook has a huge Bible sale going on and they have some Journaling Bibles as low as $10 and the description will show the text block size and also the font size so you may be able to find something more compact and portable for a great price. It’s the lowest prices on Bibles for the year they said. If you like the ESV they have some very nice ones on sale and if you like the KJV the Expressions Bibles by Hendrickson are very portable. This NKJV isn’t huge I don’t think, I’d pack it around. But if you have a leather or softcover one set it on your lap where you don’t have a desk or something to place it on and see if writing in it is too hard. A hardcover can be placed on your leg for support and the hard back will support the book block as you take notes in it. I am so glad my videos have been useful for you. That means a lot to me and it’s why I do these videos. Anymore we all have to buy online and so it’s nice to be able to see one up close before buying it. Thank you very much for watching and taking the time to comment. I appreciate it. I would look on Christianbook on their sale and look through the Journaling Bible section. They have some great ones right now for awesome prices.

The font links kind of small...

Yes the print in the regular edition is a little small, they do have a large print edition as well but it’s still not what most would consider “large”

is there a soft cover imitation leather?
@BibleBelievingChristian5 жыл бұрын
Quantum Information they do have some imitation as well as bonded leather options. The black imitation leather is ISBN 9780785218456 and is only $28 on Christianbook right now.

Do you know if this bible comes in a verse by verse style
@BibleBelievingChristian5 жыл бұрын
I have not seen a VBV in the NKJV. Many of the KJV editions are VBV not as many of the NKJVs. Thomas Nelson is starting to come out with more VBV editions in the NKJV though which is nice. But for note taking ones I have not seen one as of yet. Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment. I appreciate it.

You’re a real gem so I subscribed to your Chanel 🙋🏼♀️ I’m looking for a good journaling Bible at the moment so I have been watching lots of videos on the subject. Seen this same type but in a verse art leathersoft cover and am hoping to track one down🙏🏻 I look forward to adding it as a helpful tool for Bible study & perhaps doing a bit of artwork too if there is enough room. Thanks for your videos I have enjoyed quite a few of them over the past while❤
