Frank has taken more punishment than any other heavyweight that I can think of.when you got on the juice he was great.when he came off he was a disaster.hard to think of a heavyweight that has as many fights as frank mir.he is great at commentary I don't know why he does not pursue that career that he is a natural at.

I always remember this fight. Overeem had recently gotten off roids, and having been knocked out twice in a row in fights he was winning, realized that he had a terrible chin off the juice. So rather than retiring, he decided he was just not going to get hit, and that's exactly what he did. He outstruck Frank Mir in this fight 139 to 5.

I know Mir in the past had make remarks about Pride FC fighters, saying they thought they were king shit etc, when going into fights with Cro Cop and Nog, so maybe Alistair being a Pride veteran also had a bit of fire in him about it, I don't think it was much though in terms of bad blood or anything, Alistair coming off a losing streak too of fights he really should of won so probably felt a bit fired up
