whenever my heart is troubled i remember God was there for children of Israel and with this i know hes going to do the same for me

I did my best to translate for those of you who have been asking even though it's late... "We are grateful to you Christ for freeing us from the hand of the evil one. We were suffering and being abused in the land of Egypt. Lord we thank you for freeing us like this. What would we be without You Lord, we thank You for freeing us like this. Solo: All the suffering is over, You didnt forsake in Egypt, You were with us all the way, You didnt leave us in bondage. What would we be without You Lord, we thank You for freeing us like this. All these you see behind us, you will never see them again after this because their lives will end in the raging sea. You have been freed from enslavement and have received rest, let them be as you see them for the last time. What would we be without You Lord, we thank You for freeing us like this (repeat)" I love this song!

Here's the first stanza of the song, in isiZulu and English. I hope my English makes sense. I love this song too. Siyabonga Jesu ngokusikhulula esandleni somubi Thina besihlupheka, sihlukunyezwa ezweni laseGibhithe. Baba siyabonga ukusikhulula kanjena. We are grateful Jesus For releasing (rescuing) us from the hand of the evil one. We were struggling, being tormented in the land of Egypt. Father, we are thankful for releasing (rescuing) us.

+Hamane Beenzu My take on the song is that it’s about thanks giving & exaltation to God for deliverance and it uses the nation of Israel’s exodus from Egypt as a powerful allegory. That said here is my loose literal translation of the song… Thank you Jesus for freeing us from the hand of the evil one, we were suffering, treated cruelly in the land of Egypt. Father, we thank you for coming to our rescue. God, what would have become of us had it not been for you (releasing us from bondage)? We thank you for coming to our rescue when you did. The suffering has come to pass, you did not abandon us in Egypt, you escorted us all the way and didn’t leave us in bondage. God, what would have become of us had it not been for you (releasing us from bondage)? We thank you for coming to our rescue when you did. Those that you see following you, you will not have to face them again as they will perish in the raging sea. You have been rescued from bondage and are now in a place of safety, don’t be afraid of them, don’t pay them any attention they won’t bother you again, for you are seeing them for the very last time. God, what would have become of us had it not been for you (releasing us from bondage)? We give you thanks for coming to our rescue when you did.
