I have been avid consumer of Newslaundry for some three years now. The stand that you people take, in this post-truth world, where agendas and narratives matter more than facts is really courageous and much needed. And hence kudos to you. But I think, and I might be wrong here, you are not very caste conscious. What I mean by that is when it comes to issue of caste, in various ugly form that it crops up, might it be attrocities or discrimination you have (like most of the mainstream media) an attitude to downplay it. Like for example in this video itself while discussing how caste still portrays itself in this twenty first century and is still a reason for brutal murder and violence it's played out, maybe subconsciously, as "something not serious". At 21:30 Madhu Trehan want to start of with “something serious" as “we have been light so far". Or something like that. My point is, and I might be reading too much into it, are caste atrocities and murder not serious enough for Newslaundry as well (cause they for sure are not for mainstream media)? If we do an honest self introspection would that be cause of our previlege? And if answer is again positive then Newslaundry (a form of alt-media) should not take up the issue? Check own previlege, have caste consciousness and work towards it? Just like you did an amazing job with Consti-tution, something dedicated to make people aware about prevailing forms of castism in public and private sphere would be a game changer. I am aware it might asking too much but you have set the bar high and never disappointed. Hoping to be a proud patron for long and once again bravo on amazing work that you all do. :)
