They need to go back to the arcade style like HCTP and SYM imo. No Mercy was a slow game, but the gameplay was great and engaging. These 2K are slow as molasses, but not fun in the least. They should either go the No Mercy route or the HCTP route, but whatever they do, they need to make the gameplay engaging again. It's gotten to the point where a single knockdown or submission warrants restarting the match and that's sad.

To be fair, they only did like 2 or 3 updates, and then completely abandoned the game. 2K wrote it off as a financial loss and even had it on sale for $20 around Christmas, just so they could try and at least boost the sales numbers from people who didn't know any better.

I think the biggest disappointment or what makes things worse is, they just gave up. Like after they released it and were like we aren't making a 2k21, they didn't try to fix 2k20. It runs worse now. It crashes off of basic stuff. And it takes like 10 minutes just to load the roster screen.

i have mixed opinions on this game. i bought the game for $15 during a steam sale. the game in a way is fun, but not fun. i feel like the xbox, and playsation versions of this game are the most stable. the pc version is probably the glitchiest still. the targeting in this game is still really bad. the gameplay has been improved to a point where it is playable. the graphics are not terrible, but they downgraded from 2k19. the gameplay feels a bit slower than 2k19 at least from my experience. the rest of the glitches in this game aren't game breaking there mainly just funny. overall i'd rate this game like a 5.5/10 it is decent enough to play, and if you can buy the game for dirt cheap then i'd give it a go.

I had many problem with this game. The game keeps crashing everytime I play in a custom Arena. The target in this game sucks. How do I miss someone that is less than 2ft from me and if they are on the ground how do they get up before I do and I'm the one that did the move. My character get up so slow while the cpu get up fast.

They ironed out some wrinkles in this game to the point that it's about as broken as the games prior. Before that, yeah... the game was borderline unplayable. Hopefully with the extra year, they can truly start from the ground up, and completely start from scratch.
