Well this took a long time. I'm dozing off for today. Interested to see what you think of the new counters - i can make them faster and less plentiful, but making them smaller would be tough. Coming up - i have 2 eps of Bully almost ready and then i will try to make another Quip ready by the weekend.

I was just wondering, have you been affected by KZbin's new policy against 'reused' content? Would/are you willing to continue making content without monetization? Or is there perhaps something you could work out with NL that would allow you to keep getting paid for your hard work?

Nothing happened so far. Haven't read up on it yet, so everything i know is from that one time NL talked about it. As i see it, if your content is found somewhere else on KZbin you get a new tab in creator studio where you can choose what to do about it. So if NL doesn't want to shut down me, Egghead, Baby Pigman and all the rest, then he should have the option to let it slide. So far he's done nothing to impede fan-made edits, so i don't see him suddenly turning into a dictator, even if it's made easy for him via some new system. Active community is a good thing and he knows it, so as long as we, the editors, don't do anything too egregious, NL should let us exist in peace. It's not like we're making a dent in his bottom line - we mostly recycle content that has already given its juices (the ad revenue and the top rights).

@@GoodGoga I'm just worried because channels have been being demonetized for ''Reused Content', even with explicit written permission: www.reddit.com/r/youtube/comments/bes06j/demonetization_and_compilation_channels/ support.google.com/youtube/thread/4518549 Unfortunately, it seems very likely that your channel falls under this category.

I’m honestly not a fan of the new counter. It looks cool, but it’s too slow and distracting. I’m really happy Quiplash is back tho! 👍

Maybe the initial slide-in/slide-out could be 10% faster or something? Idk imo it seems it'll be better in the long run

I can make it faster easily. Plus a lot of small rubbish counters will be purged from your view, this was a one-time test.

However, i don't get the distracting part. There is nothing happening, there's 3 stationary lines of relevant text and chat, nothing else matters, so why is the tally distracting? But honestly i'm mostly defending here because making it smaller would be vastly more difficult than speeding it up.

Yeah, i think the main issue is that the.. extending? is too slow i think it stays up for a good amount of time and i was a little put off but the big steampunk counter but, like you said, theres not a lot going on and i think im warming up to it

@@Xylofoam I don't think it was any particular event, but there's times in the past where he's taken some time off for himself, usually in his own words for "mental health". Could be comments getting to him, could be the show just being a bit exhausting, maybe both.
