With those speeds, I definitely agree about having a roll cage. Watching his speeds on the long straights though, he's hitting the red line well before he's hitting the brakes. Seems to me a lower rear end ratio would have been more optimal for this track.

Yep, so many folks seem to misinterpret shorter gears always means faster. It may feel faster because your ripping through gears but it actually is slower because of it. Example, Evo and STI(USDM EJ25) both would actually be faster in a straight line with a longer final drive even stock. Now admittedly, on a tight autocross track, or say... a rally course, perfect gearing.

This has nothing to do with being a Subaru.... This has to do with modification.... You can take ANY fucking car and make it accelerate fast, what's hard is making it accelerate fast AND corner well, and THAT is where Porsche wins. If you put equivalent horsepower in the Porsche, it will step on the Subaru, because it's straight line speed will match the Subaru but it's cornering will FAR exceed the Subaru's, because rear engine rear wheel drive is a superior layout for cornering than front engine all wheel drive, fact.

You can also modify a Toyota Supra up til +++1,200 hp - but then that has nothing to do with a stock car anymore. Hence the fact that a Subaru kicks Porsche ass does not really mean anything. If you would modify the Porsche in the same way it would shit on that ricer.

P Miller not sure about that, the gt3 rs doesn’t have a huge aftermarket community. Sure exhaust and tune but nothing huge like a supercharger kit or anything like that, yes you could build the motor but at that point just get a gt2 rs that’s twin turbo..

Yo, a lot of people need to understand that when you go out to drive and track like this, there a many many many different skill levels involved. And within those skill levels you have inexperienced people with 1000hp cars who cant drive well at all, and then you have people in 300hp cars who can lick the corners if they stuck their tongues out the window. Give the competition a rest, enjoy the mechanics of racing and the spirit of the track. It doesn't matter what you drive, what matters is if you love driving.
