Hi, Thanks for writing to me. You have a typical profile of a student who gets thru a top Bschool but unfortunately your NMAT score is not good enough. U can retake but most importantly focus on CAT . We will talk after that as CAT is close. One thing I can say very confidently that if u prepare well for interviews, no body can stop u from getting thru a top college. Focus on written test and get a call, rest will be taken care of . Sir I've scored 92/85/63 in LS/LR/QA. Is there a chance I could get NMIMS Banglore or Navi Mumbai since I might not clear the sectional cutoff required for NMIMS Mumbai.

Hi Sakshi, I do not see any reason why u wud not get a call from NaviMumbai or from Bangalore. Last year with easier paper the cutoff of QA was 63 . U have exactly the same mark. Don’t know your profile. That cud pull u in or push u out now. Your score seems pretty good for this year. My best wishes & blessings for doing well in CAT and other exams.

Sir i scored 212 QA-63,LS-74,LR-75...as you said in the vid he cutoffs will be comparatively lower...is there hope for me for any of the tier 2 colleges?

I think u will get good colleges Devansh. If your profile is ok ok also then u may get xim b, tapmi manipal, kj Somaiyaa, 50% chance of Great Lakes. Mind u xim b has reservations for odiya students, so they select workex students more from outside the state but freshers too get thru. Hope this helps.

After CAT, prepare aggressively for interviews. Your percentages r quite acceptable to Bschools we discussed and a lot will now depend on your ability to convince them of your suitability for their program.

Dear Aditya, I would advise u to retake the test. Bangalore looks like 210. U have done very well in VA but there is a huge scope in Reasoning for sure and even Quants one can take it to 60+ levels . Best wishes

Dear Jonathan, Your overall score is good for many decent Bschools like Great Lakes, IFMR, TAPMI etc but QA score is in the lower side and it may pull you down. The silver lining is that most of the institutes barring few do not look at the individual cutoffs. I would say retake the test if u r ambitious and can improve your QA score in short period of time . Also chk whether your QA score is an aberration or u deserved this much only . Use reason over emotion .If u r targetting ok colleges then u r good to go and can focus on your GDPI. My good wishes & blessings .

@@manshaprep Thank you Sir. One last question- in your opinion what is the expected cutoff for KJ Somaiya NMIMS Bangalore and Navi Mumbai and TAPMI considering the difficulty hike of NMAT by 5-10%?
