didnt expect to relate so much to some comments on yt. I always beat myself up when I go through periods where im not drawn to creating music for some time, but every time it happens it doesn't take long for me to get all jazzed up about it again randomly. Creating is definitely an act from the heart, so its good to be aware of the fact that you don't need to force yourself to make stuff when you arent feeling it in the moment

I once met this man when I was a teenager in Bangkok airport of all places. Mac was eating a pizza he’d bought with a couple of his associates/friends as I walked into the restaurant. Took me around 3 seconds as we locked eyes before realising who he was as he winked at me. Froze in total disbelief. I suppose that the wink was something of his invitation to approach, and as I did my mind was racing with a whirlwind of thoughts on what to say. The glib conversation must have lasted around 3 minutes or so but it seemed like hours as I churned out words of admiration, without trying to seem overly zealous. Ended up with him offering for a photo - totally cool guy. Afterwards I sat down with our backs oppositely facing, trying not to disturb him anymore before he left around 20 mins thereafter. Mac, I’m still a fan and thank you!

Mac's music really resonated with me when I was ending college. Just sort of over it, but still gotta still hit it to make the difference in my life. Mac's music seemed to embrace its awkwardness on top of some really catchy songwriting. It made me feel like someone kind of got this strange uncomfortable feeling I had, and made the moment beautiful. It may be how some people felt about the blues, much more painful and maybe hopeless feeling.
