BMTH drove straight from that festival in 2008 and performed for free at a charity show I organized in Birmingham for a friend of mine that was murdered a few weeks before, Oliver offered to re-design my poster for it as mine was undeniably bad.They arrived to the venue an hour late due to the traffic getting out of the festival, the sound engineer forced me to go on-stage an explain why there is no band playing, as a 15 year old kid I couldn't have been more nervous, but the crowd knew this show was for a cause and I received nothing but love and applaud, I was in the process of thanking everybody and explaining that the band would be here soon, mid sentence I see some guitars being carried through the crowd and they had arrived, they walked straight on stage, plugged in and absolutely blew the roof off the club. To this day I organize events and festivals and I owe it to Bring Me The Horizon, Enter Shikari, Viatropy, Azreal and all the other bands played for free and helped me raise enough money for a beautiful funeral and celebration of my friends life. I organized two more shows with Bring Me The Horizon after that first event, They some of the nicest, kindest guys I worked with, I am really happy for their success, they deserve it!

WOW. What a great story. They're amazing. They did royal Albert hall with a small orchestra for charity too. That's amazing if you get a chance to watch it. It's on KZbin.

Their headline show at Reading fest was the best performance of the weekend for me - absolutely took me away. Was my first time seeing them but will definitely be seeing them again!

Agreed. It was my first time seeing them too! The production and the performance stole the weekend.

Hands down the best set of the weekend, they owned that festival! I’ve been with them since the beginning and honestly I was so proud to see them make it and reach this stage

They made Reading 2022, they put on the best performance. I would of paid the whole weekend fee (£260ish) just to watch their set.

I know they had a bad rep at the beginning of their career, but I'd completely forgotten how hated Bring Me used to be until Oli mentioned it here (absolutely gross that people used to bottle them). Crazy how they completely transformed the publics opinion of them.
@welcomethrillho97242 жыл бұрын
Been a fan since the very beginning, and it was insane how divisive they were, like people used to like actively hate them, but then they had the second most played MySpace song after Coldplay. The only band I can think of that have consistently levelled up for their whole 18 year career as well, like that’s mind blowing if you think about it, bigger than they’ve ever been after 18 years. While they’re arguably the biggest of the ‘newer’ metal/rock acts, I still don’t think they really get the recognition for how absolutely mental it is that they’ve got bigger and better every single release, for the last 18 years.

Yup. Love where they are today. They stuck out the worst of it. Have you seen the story he tells about a gig in Doncaster. Chatting with yungblud. He was saying the same. The went to McDonald's and got mugged for a happy meal. Made it sound funny as fuck. But glad they stuck at it. Many would F it off having to deal with that everytime. They should be proud. Love it❤

How close they are and so invested in the band and eachother m just noticed that Jordan has BMTH tatties on his wrist too. That's solidarity and friendship. And I say their music has really helped me,in more ways than I can say. But the way it's helped Oli most. The ending of teardrops is so clear that's what it meant. Just clever and cool. I'm 50 years old and never fangirled so hard for a band since I was in my teens and 20s. Love you guys. My sons friend is related to Matt through marriage and we always talk about BMTH. Maybe I'll get lucky and meet them 1 day.❤❤ Gotta dream right😂😂😂❤
