The fact that the title tracks are such standouts can't possibly be a negative. "XOXO" and "Break the Wall" are great, but probably my least faves, if I absolutely had to rank them. Oddly enough, I also think they sound like recent TWICE b-sides, which is not a negative in my book, just not as exciting as "Passion Fruit", "Dash", "Soñar", and "Run for Roses". Speaking of which, I'm not a big country fan, so "Run for Roses" have no business being this good in my ears, but it just is. All of that being said, there is no actual skip on this ep for me. It's so solid. The only real negative from this ep in my eyes and ears is the mixxpop switchup in "Dash". I really think that particular part is lazy production and it hugely detracts from the overall feel of the song. I would've much rather have had a solid third verse, so it didn't feel like we went from chorus to this dumb and misplaced rock overtour and then back into the chorus and the abrupt finish. It kinda made the chorus seem way too repetitive, when I was originally really digging it, and as if the second half of the song was treading waters and not really adding anything new. IMO, NMIXX is a top tier and almost untouchable group, when they don't have forced switchups. I'm not talking about the ones in "Soñar", because they flow really well, and I'm fine with those. But they truly don't need that gimmick, they have all the talent in the world, and these days they are also getting really great songs. That's more than sufficient.

@multeyemeteor personally im fine with the change up in Dash as its NMIXX’s identity to include such switch ups and i like the shock factor it provides but i dont agree with the “lazy production” as i do think it did transition into the change up pretty smoothly and that part is still full with the rock and drum and bass production

@@pewpew1511 Well, it's all well and good that you're "fine" with it. That's not a ringing endorsement. Neither does it mean that it's not lazy, as you can like things that are lazily made and not give a damn about anyone else's opinion. Secondly, it doesn't have to be their identity. They don't need this goofball gimmick that only add a tiny bit of shock value and 90% of the time just ruins the flow of an otherwise wellmade song. I don't see, how you could disagree that it's a "lazy production". It's anything but smooth, and you yourself said that they do it for the "shock factor", which makes your other claim make absolutely no sense. The producers chose to aim for shock (and in this case with a jarring, yet generic sounding beat absolutely devoid of personality) instead of figuring out how to round out the song by drawing upon the strength of the group and the foundation that they created in the first half of the song ("Boom" and "Soñar" does it a million times better). Also, my point about the last half of the song basically being an extended chorus still stands. It's very poorly made, and it reflects horribly on the group, who's otherwise doing an amazing job. NMIXX doesn't need to be a gimmick group.
