Now that you've heard O.O, maybe the next best thing to listen to is the b-side of O.O which is TANK, I promise when you read its lyrics you will be surprised because this song is made for those who are confused or hating on O.O like is great because O.O is not meant to be read as OO it is meant to look like O.O which is an emoji of a shock emoji. Like the lyrics of O.O says it all, “Cross those arms sit down, can almost hear the ROAR. It is just a teaser, watch me coming soon. Don’t be surprise yet calm down.” They’re trying to say that ‘They can hear all the people HATE (Roar) at them. They can hear all the negative opinions about them and their debut song and i think that this is what JYPE/SQU4D wants. They did the song or the mix kinda jarring or like to make you confuse for a reason like if you read the lyrics of the first verse. They’re describing whats happening and they want yall to calm down coz this things were done on purpose. So everything that is happening is just bad publicity, all the accusations by fans (copy, plagiarism etc.) were done on purposed and that’s make sense why the title is O.O (shocked emoji) coz people will literally look at them, talk about them like all the love, hate and confusion were planned.

They didn’t combined two song but split the song into two. Also if you pay attention to 0.0 lyrics they are actually telling us that it’s a teaser, and “don’t be shocked”, so they knew the reaction they will be getting and predicted it. We can also presume that they were spoiling that the song will be split into two. It’s actually amazing how SQ4D has everything planned since pre-debut.

Wish y’all had gone ahead and watched the fan cams; there’s some good stage energy there. I do agree with y’all that “Baila” sounds like an actual completely developed song, whereas “Superhero” is still in “sketch form,” looping sections to get it up to a full runtime. Despite that, “Superhero” is my favorite of the pair, largely because it feels like old school fun emcee’d hip-hop before the gangster rap movement changed the game. Also the Batman ‘66 “na-na-na.”

10:30 I genuinely believe that they intended O.O to be the way it is from the start and that the versions made were made AFTER their debut. Not sure, but this just makes the most sense to me especially given the way that Superhero (version 2) of O.O doesn't entirely sound like a full song, idk how to explain it?? I think they made the versions afterwards when they heard people say that it sounded like 2 songs mashed up.

Think about this: O.O was their DEBUT SONG, then look at the choreo and listen to their vocals and ad-libs... It was ridiculously hard in every aspect for a debuting group and they killed it.

The lyric is “freaky fishy,” you can’t convince me otherwise, lyrics sheet be damned. They debuted with and continue to have nautical motifs, and songs are not uncommonly written one way but intentionally meant to be heard in another. I know “INCOMING” is Dem Jointz’ producer tag, but it functionally really served well as the very, very first thing we heard from their official debut announcement trailer, as a statement of arrival.

I think media literacy is not just looking at the surface level of what’s literally presented to you, but rather, examining it within a greater context. And in NMIXX’s case, I don’t think it’s a coincidence that these ships, whales, jellyfish, and frilly fish-fin-like gauzy costumes are always showing up “just cuz.” I’m not someone who cares about k-pop lore, but it’s undeniable that NMIXX are continuously building a pattern. You gonna tell me that shadow elongates in Twice’s “Moonlight Sunrise” video just to look like a clock hand to match the written lyric and not play on the thematic entendre of the song? That Britney Spears sang a song about talking about looking for someone named Amy? Famously, for “It’s Gonna Be Me,” Justin Timberlake questioned the producer’s request to sing “me” as “may” when the preceding words to rhyme with “final-ee” and “somebod-ee.” This was a stylistic choice, and while I don’t think there was a deeper meaning in “It’s Gonna Be Me,” it remains an example of intentional alternative interpretation from what is logical or “objectively true” in the page. Art is meant to be read into, analyzed, and interpreted. Even very commercial workmanlike songs can have some degree of motivation behind their creation. We can say “it’s not that deep, bro,” but regardless of the real depth behind authorial intent, art is rarely meant to be taken as strictly literal. Even if this a “death of the author”/“birth of the reader” misalignment of intent and interpretation situation, the “author” sure is continually seeding the “reader” with a lot of fishy-themed stuff over these past two years.

That's why mixing genre is not as simple as putting 2 song together, they need to find perfect match between 2 genres or focusing on the transition so it's not sounds divided. For me, after i listen to their new releases, the more i listen to them, the more i convinced that O.O is a messed up song. Not because their mixpop concept, but because the structure of the song, the flow, and the composition between 2 genres. It doesn't sound well blended, it is more like PICK N PLUG instead of PICK N MIXX. That is why they do this project, splitting the song. Cuz their producers knew that it is a messed up song. As long as you can put a good work like Dash, i don't need a split song. It just perfectly blended, and sounds like a one whole song
